The hybrid organic–inorganic perovskite (CH3NH3)PbI3 may find application in next generation solid-state sensitised solar cells. Although this material and related perovskites were discovered many decades ago, questions remain concerning their diverse structural chemistry unusual properties. article presents a review of previous work provides detailed description the preparation, characterisation physical characteristics (CH3NH3)PbI3. phase changes exhibited by have been probed using...
Despite the impressive photovoltaic performances with power conversion efficiency beyond 22%, perovskite solar cells are poorly stable under operation, failing by far market requirements. Various technological approaches have been proposed to overcome instability problem, which, while delivering appreciable incremental improvements, still from a market-proof solution. Here we show one-year devices engineering an ultra-stable 2D/3D (HOOC(CH2)4NH3)2PbI4/CH3NH3PbI3 junction. The forms...
Lead free perovskite solar cells based on a CsSnI3 light absorber with spectral response from 950 nm is demonstrated. The high photocurrents noted in the system are consequence of SnF2 addition which reduces defect concentrations and hence background charge carrier density.

Abstract Perovskite solar cells are one of the most promising photovoltaic technologies with their extraordinary progress in efficiency and simple processes required to produce them. However, frequent presence a pronounced hysteresis current voltage characteristic these devices arises concerns on intrinsic stability organo-metal halides, challenging reliability technology itself. Here, we show that n-doping mesoporous TiO 2 is accomplished by facile post treatment films lithium salts. We...

Abstract CH 3 NH PbX (MAPbX ) perovskites have attracted considerable attention as absorber materials for solar light harvesting, reaching to power conversion efficiencies above 20%. In spite of the rapid evolution efficiencies, understanding basic properties these semiconductors is still ongoing. One phenomenon with so far unclear origin so-called hysteresis in current–voltage characteristics cells. Here we investigate this a combined experimental and computational approach. Experimentally...

Both the theoretical maximum and real are predicted from electroluminescence photovoltaic external quantum efficiency spectra. Radiative non-radiative recombination quantified, where a source found in mesoscopic structure, independent Al2O3 or TiO2 scaffold.
