Fusion of infrared and visual images is an important research area in image analysis. The purpose fusion to combine the information original into final result. So, it crucial effectively extract reasonably them image. To achieve this purpose, algorithm by using multi scale center-surround top-hat transform through region extraction proposed paper. Firstly, discussed used bright dim regions images. Secondly, extracted for are constructed from regions. Finally, after a base calculated images,...
Theoretical and experimental investigations have shown that the atmospheric turbulence exhibits both anisotropic non-Kolmogorov properties. In this work, two theoretical atmosphere refractive-index fluctuations spectral models are derived for optical waves propagating through turbulence. They consider simultaneously finite inner outer scales asymmetric property of eddies in orthogonal xy-plane throughout path. Two anisotropy factors which parameterize asymmetry horizontal vertical directions...
A new generalized modified atmospheric spectral model is derived theoretically for wave propagating through non-Kolmogorov turbulence, which has been reported recently by increasing experimental evidence and theoretical investigation. The generalized, spectrum considers finite turbulence inner outer scales a power law value in the range of 3 to 5 instead standard 11/3. When scale are set zero infinity, respectively, this reduced classical spectrum.
A generalized exponential spectrum model is derived, which considers finite turbulence inner and outer scales has a general spectral power law value between the range 3 to 5 instead of standard 11/3. Based on this model, new long exposure modulation transfer function (MTF) obtained for optical plane spherical wave propagating through horizontal path in weak fluctuation turbulence. When scale are set zero infinite, respectively, MTF reduced classical derived from non-Kolmogorov spectrum.
The noise problem is generally inevitable for phase retrieval by solving the transport of intensity equation (TIE). effect can be alleviated using multiple intensities to estimate axial derivative in TIE. In this study, a method proposed estimating unevenly-spaced noisy measurements. noise-minimized approximated linear combination data, which coefficients are obtained constrained optimization problem. performance investigated both error analysis and numerical simulations, results show that...
A method based on the transport of intensity equation (TIE) for phase retrieval is presented, which can retrieve optical from measurements in multiple unequally-spaced planes near-field region. In this method, derivative TIE represented by a linear combination measurements, and coefficient be expressed explicitly analytical form related to defocused distances. The proposed formula generalization with high order derivatives. numerical experiments demonstrate that improve accuracy higher-order...
Kolmogorov turbulence theory based models cannot be directly applied in non-Kolmogorov case, which has been reported recently by increasing experimental evidence and theoretical investigation. In this study, on the generalized von Karman spectral model, expression of irradiance scintillation index is derived for Gaussian-beam wave propagating through weak with horizontal path. derivation, divided into two parts physical analysis purpose mathematical convenience. This considers influences...
Abstract The detection of celestial objects in ground-based wide-field optical telescope images serves as the foundational step for subsequent analysis tasks. Existing methods astronomical target have not addressed challenges posed by a high dynamic range, faintness targets, and an inaccurate supervision map. This paper presents faint framework named Celestial Densely Nested Network (CDN-Net). First, hierarchical bit-depth decomposition strategy is designed to address range FITS images,...
Enhancing an image through increasing the contrast of is one effective way enhancement. To well enhance and suppress produced noises in resulting image, a multiscale top-hat selection transform-based algorithm extracting bright dark regions between them proposed. First, transform discussed then used to extract each scale. Second, final extracted are obtained maximum operation on all at scales. Finally, by using weight strategy, enhanced adding subtracting from original image. The parameters...

They developed under Andrews' assumption that small-scale fluctuations modulated by large-scale the wave, geometrical optics approximation is adopted mathematical development. wide range turbulence strength considered instead a limited weak The has power law value in 3 to 4 standard 11/3. Numerical...
In image deconvolution, various boundary conditions (BC) based deconvolution methods have been proposed to reduce artifacts. However, most of them are not considering the accuracy BC due computation limitation. this paper, we propose a framework, which considers convolution matrix as product partial and condition matrix. By computing adjoint matrix, can solve large linear system with conjugate gradient algorithm. With easily derive two efficient non-blind algorithms, treat borders repeated...
A fast nonlocal means (NLM) filtering scheme, which uses cosine integral image, is proposed to reduce the computation cost of standard NLM method. In method, image patch similarity estimated within mean values patches, are calculated by summed (SI) The weight function decomposed into a linear combination functions, and all summation operations needed performed SI complexity method only O(N) independently kernel size. Experimental results show that runs more than 200 times faster still...
Dim small target is an active and important research area in image processing pattern recognition. Various algorithms have been proposed to detect track dim target. This paper reviews some for detection, including the wavelet based algorithms, inter-frame difference filter algorithms. Also, further development of technologies has briefly analyzed.
Video stabilization in atmosphere turbulent conditions is aimed at removing spatiotemporally varying distortions from video recordings. Conventional shaky approaches do not perform effectively under circumstances due to the erratic motion common those conditions. Using complex-valued image pyramids, we propose a method mitigate this videos. First, each frame of decomposed into different spatial frequencies using Laplacian pyramid. Second, Riesz transform adopted extract local amplitude and...
Based on the generalized exponential spectrum for non-Kolmogorov atmospheric turbulence, theoretical expressions of angle-of-arrival (AOA) variance are derived plane and spherical optical waves propagating through weak turbulence. Without particular assumption, new relate AOA to receiver aperture, finite turbulence inner outer scales, wavelength.
