Pt–Cu hollow nanocrystals with excellent electrocatalytic activities were produced by a one-pot synthesis method. The catalytic of these toward methanol electro-oxidation studied cyclic voltammetry (CV). exhibited higher activity for oxidation than commercial Pt black and Pt/C.

This work introduces a sorbent (p-BN with monovacancy defects) for separation and capture of CO from H<sub>2</sub> feed gas. The difference between <italic>E</italic><sub>ads</sub>(CO) <italic>E</italic><sub>ads</sub>(H<sub>2</sub>) is calculated to be 6.27 4.09 eV V<sub>B</sub> V<sub>N</sub>, respectively, suggesting that p-BN vacancy defects an efficient sorbent.
