We propose a design of an extremely broad frequency band absorber based on destructive interference mechanism. Metamaterial multilayered SRRs structure is used to realize desirable refractive index dispersion spectrum, which can induce successive anti-reflection in wide range. The corresponding high absorptance originates from the two reflection waves surfaces metamaterial. A strongly absorptive bandwidth almost 60 GHz demonstrated range 0 70 numerically. This provides effective and feasible...

Zwitterionic poly(sulfobetaine methacrylate) (PSBMA) has been well studied for its superhydrophilic and ultralow biofouling properties, making it a promising material superabsorbent nonadherent wound dressings. Electrospinning provides multiple desirable features dressings, including high absorptivity due to surface-area-to-volume ratio, gas permeation, conformability contour of the bed. The goal this work is develop fibrous membrane PSBMA via electrospinning evaluate properties related...

The orientation of antibodies on surfaces is critical to the performance biosensors. Due charge distribution within an antibody molecule, it hoped that adsorbed can be controlled by adjusting microenvironments (e.g., surface and solution properties). Oil-water separation is a major problem in industries such as oil production and wastewater treatment, where millions of gallons oil-contaminated water are produced. Zwitterionic poly(sulfobetaine methacrylate) (pSBMA) superhydrophilic polymer due to its strong interaction with via electrostatic interactions. By coating surfaces filter media polymer, it expected that one can effectively separate water. In this work, pSBMA was grafted onto glass fiber using surface-initiated atom transfer...

A serine-based zwitterionic poly(serine methacrylate) (pSerMA) was developed in this work to be used as a potential antifouling material. surface-initiated photoiniferter-mediated polymerization (SI-PIMP) method graft polymer brushes on gold surfaces. The pSerMA-grafted samples with different film thicknesses were readily prepared by varying the UV-irradiation time. With optimal thickness, adsorptions from bovine serum albumin, human serum, and plasma onto surfaces, evaluated surface plasmon...
