Orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.), a widely cultivated cool-season perennial, is an important forage crop due to its adaptability, high nutritional value, and substantial biomass. Understanding genetic diversity population structure crucial for developing resilient cultivars that can withstand climate change, diseases, resource limitations. Despite global significance in fodder production, the potential of many regional accessions remains unexplored, limiting breeding efforts. This study...

Understanding the effects of seeding rate and cutting intervals on dry matter yield nutritive value may help to optimize alfalfa production. The objective this study was investigate optimum interval two cultivars (cv. Alsancak cv. Nimet). Field experiments were carried out for 3 years in Mediterranean ecological conditions. treatments comprised three programs at 20, 30 40 days rates (15 kg ha-1). experiment designed a split–split plot randomized complete block with repetitions. main plots...

The germination abilities of 14 annual legume species (six Medicago and eight Trifolium) were tested under three dormancy breaking treatments: In the first treatment, mechanical scarification plus sodium hypochlorite (MSS); in second, chemical with sulphuric acid (CSA); third, incubation water bath at 90 °C (IWB) used for dormancy. All except polymorpha showed improvement rates using MSS. seeds M. higher CSA or IWB than For Trifolium species, results indicated that there was a great...

Food adulteration is a major problem causing significant economic and health risks for consumers. Non-destructive, quick, inexpensive methods are needed food authentication. No study has been found on the of organic pepper powders. This examined feasibility chromameter to discriminate pure adulterated (mixed) red powders obtained from intermittent microwave drying first time. PCA, SIMCA, PLSR were used data analysis. The PCA exhibited very good distinction based product type (organic...

The level of applied microwave power is a critical parameter for the quality dried product in drying. It impossible to assess with naked eye. This work aimed predict black carrot powders using chromameter and near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy partial least squares regression. A good correlation was found between power, color parameters, reflectance. predicted better performance (R2 = 0.99) can be utilized appraise acceptable accuracy.
