This study examined the effect of methanolic extract Morinda citrifolia Linn. (MMC) and its bioactive principles, scopoletin rutin, on dopamine- noradrenaline-evoked contractility in isolated rat vas deferens preparations. MMC (1–40 mg/mL), (1–200 μ g/mL), rutin hydrate (0.6–312.6 g/mL) dose-dependently inhibited evoked by submaximal concentrations both dopamine noradrenaline, respectively. Haloperidol prazosin, reference D 2 , α 1 -adrenoceptors antagonists significantly reversed...

In this study, we investigated the antipsychotic-like effect of methanolic extract Mitragyna speciosa leaf (MMS) using in vivo and ex studies. studies comprised apomorphine-induced climbing behavior, haloperidol-induced catalepsy, ketamine-induced social withdrawal tests mice whereas study was conducted utilizing isolated rat vas deferens preparation. Acute oral administration MMS (50-500 mg/kg) showed an inverted bell-shaped dose-response cage behavior mice. The effective inhibitory doses...

Abstract: Curcuma purpurascens BI. rhizome, a member of the Zingiberaceae family, is popular spice in Indonesia that traditionally used assorted remedies. Dichloromethane extract C. rhizome (DECPR) has previously been shown to have an apoptosis-inducing effect on colon cancer cells. In present study, we examined potential DECPR prevent development rats treated with azoxymethane (AOM) (15 mg/kg) by determining percentage inhibition incidence aberrant crypt foci (ACF). Starting from day...

Diet therapy is often the first-line approach in prevention and management of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Adoption low glycaemic index (GI) diet one recent dietary strategies to modulate response individuals with T2DM. Generally, has strong influence on gut microbiota, which recently have been found be associated insulin resistance inflammatory diabetes. The possible modulation microbiota intervention a topic emerging interest, limited evidence among T2DM population. In this review, we...

The study addressed a significant gap in the profiling and understanding of gut microbiota's influence on Malaysian Malay women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). This prospective cohort aimed to explore intricate relationship between microbiota, dietary choices, lifestyle factors among women, both without GDM. research specifically focused participants during second (T0) third (T1) trimesters pregnancy Johor Bahru, Malaysia. In Part 1 study, diverse pool pregnant at T0 was...
