This article examines the benefits of a student run free clinic (SRFC) as service learning experience for students in medicine, pharmacy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and physician assistant programs. We hypothesized that who participate an interprofessional course volunteer at SRFC would demonstrate significant increases perceptions attitudes working health care teams clinical reasoning skills compared to did not participate. Single blinded, randomized clinical trial for the evaluation of lumbosacral orthoses (LSOs) in management lower back pain (LBP).
In this study, we examined the effects of deep dry needling (DDN) on spinal reflexes in triceps surae. We found that H reflex (an excitatory reflex) did not change after DDN but soleus inhibition was increased immediately and 72 h DDN, corresponding to increases ankle range motion. Differential inhibitory over first may reflect its complex neurophysiological at level.
Background: Interprofessional learning, collaboration and clinical reasoning are vital in medical education care order to best meet the needs of today’s patients. Student-run free clinics a type learning experience that can foster interprofessionalism develop skills. Thus, it role PT ensure each patient therapy intervention throughout care. When patient's condition not intervention, PT's responsibility...
Development of patient interviewing skills are a component all healthcare education. The physical therapist-patient interview includes some areas that unique to the practice therapy. Boissonnault et al. developed ECHOWS tool, designed specifically assess how effectively and efficiently student therapist (SPT) performs patient-interview, or history. purpose this pilot study was determine reliability tool for use in real-time interviews patients at student-run free clinic. is...
