E-mail: damir.raljevic@gmail.com Case Report: A 34-year-old patient was admitted to our Institution because of weakness, shortness breath and exercise intolerance. Echocardiography shows mitral valve prolapse regurgitation, dilated right ventricle. MSCT coronarography detected changes in the anatomic relations large blood vessels. The Xiphoideum is drawn back form pectus excavatum with pressure on chest structures. No coronary anatomy were found. Cardiac MRI showed that ventricular systolic...

The mitral valve pseudoaneurysm is a localized outpouching of the leaflet arising as result extension infection from aortic valve. most commonly perforated and communicates with adjacent heart cavities. (Karalis DG et al. Circulation 1992; 86: 353–362). Before era echocardiography, pseudoaneurysms were diagnosed during surgery (Reid CL Am J Coll Cardiol 1983; 2: 460–464) or autopsy (Saphir O Pathol 1948; 24: 83–95). Echocardiography, especially transesophageal echocardiography (TEE),...

Partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection (PAPVC) is a rare congenital cardiac anomaly in which few of the veins connect to right atrium or its tributaries instead left atrium. The PAPVC superior vena cava (SVC) occurs about 10% 15% all patients with atrial septal defect (ASD). Approximately have secundum ASD associated this anomaly. We report 54-year old female patient an acute inferior myocardial infarction ST segment elevation (STEMI). After catheterization and echocardiography we...

Cardiologia CROATICAPrimary cardiac tumors are rare and affect patients of all ages.Primary have a reported incidence between 0,0017% 0,19% in autopsy series.Approximately 75% benign histologically, the remainder malignant.Advances imaging greatly facilitate diagnosis management tumors.Transthoracic echocardiography is useful initial evaluation for screening.Cardiovascular magnetic resonance computed tomography provide additional information about morphology, location, extent tumors.Computed...

Introduction: Cardiac tumors are extremely rare with the incidence <0.1 %, found in approximately 7 of 12.000 autopsies.Papillary fibroelastomas (PFs) second most common benign cardiac tumors, peduncular and mobile, typically speckled echolucent. The mean patient age at detection is 60 years.According to literature 1-3 , PFs commonly seen aortic (36 %) mitral (29 valve, while they can be on tricuspid valve 11 % cases or pulmonic patients. These usually (70 have symptoms mostly due...

Atrial fibrillation is an important factor associated with left atrium (LA) enlargement and thrombus formation in the LA appendage.Transesophageal echocardiography procedure of choice for assessment dimension LA, as well detection cavity or appendage. It can detect thrombi a high degree sensitivity specificity varying from 93% to 100%.Cardiac CT represents gold standard anatomy complex. The mean identifying was 81% 90%.Because spatial resolution excellent myocardial border magnetic resonance...
