Conducting polymers (CP), namely polyaniline (PANI) and polypyrrole (PPy), are promising materials applicable for the use as biointerfaces they intrinsically combine electronic ionic conductivity. Although a number of works have employed PANI or PPy in preparation copolymers, composites, blends with other polymers, there is no systematic study dealing comparison their fundamental biological properties. The present study, therefore, compares biocompatibility terms cytotoxicity (using NIH/3T3...

This article presents a contribution to better understanding of the processes which take place during synthesis polypyrrole nanotubes using structure-guiding agent, methyl orange. Polypyrrole was prepared by oxidation pyrrole monomer with iron(III) chloride. In presence orange, formation observed instead globular morphology. Two reaction schemes reversed additions oxidant and have been tested they show remarkable influence on produced Nanotubes circular or rectangular profiles diameters from...

In this work, flexible and free-standing composite films of nanofibrillated cellulose/polypyrrole (NFC/PPy) NFC/PPy-silver nanoparticles (NFC/PPy-Ag) have been synthesized for the first time via in situ one-step chemical polymerization applied potential biomedical applications. Incorporation NFC into PPy significantly improved its film formation ability resulting materials with good mechanical electrical properties. It is shown that NFC/PPy-Ag strong inhibition effect against growth...

Abstract With the advancement of applications in biomedicines and bioelectronics, conducting polymers have attained huge significant attention. For such applications, poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) is considered a potential polymer because its low cost, considerable stability, high conductivity mechanical strength. Most importantly, easy aqueous solution processability makes it more attractive. Over last few years, PEDOT:PSS has been predominantly...
