Glowing tags: a series of activatable ("turn-on") tetrazine-conjugated fluorescent probes was developed, which react rapidly in an inverse-electron-demand [4+2] cycloaddition with strained dienophiles such as trans-cyclooctene, thereby strongly increasing the fluorescence intensity. The novel turn-on were applied for intracellular live-cell imaging microtubuli-binding trans-cyclooctene modified taxol.
A label for six, please! fluorescent tetrazine derivative was used to image trans-cyclooctene-modified affinity ligands on live cancer cells through a bioorthogonal cycloaddition with reaction rate of approximately 6000±200 M−1 s−1 in serum at 37 °C (see scheme). To maximize the fluorescence signal, up six trans-cyclooctene moieties were attached antibody pretarget labeling.
Given mounting evidence of the importance gut-microbiota/immune-cell interactions in immune homeostasis and responsiveness, surprisingly little is known about leukocyte movements to, especially from, gut. We address this topic a minimally perturbant manner using Kaede transgenic mice, which universally express photoconvertible fluorescent reporter. Transcutaneous exposure cervical lymph nodes to violet light permitted punctual tagging cells specifically therein, subsequent monitoring their...
The hallmark of type 1 diabetes is autoimmune destruction the insulin-producing β-cells pancreatic islets. Autoimmune has been difficult to study or treat because it not usually diagnosed until substantial β-cell loss already occurred. Imaging agents that permit noninvasive visualization changes in mass remain a high-priority goal. We report on development and testing near-infrared fluorescent imaging agent. Based amino acid sequence exendin-4, we created neopeptide via introduction an...

Current therapy for lung cancer involves multimodality therapies. However, many patients are either refractory to or develop drug resistance. KRAS and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations represent some of the most common in cancer, studies have shown importance these both carcinogenesis chemoresistance. Genetically engineered murine models mutant EGFR been developed that more accurately recapitulate human cancer. Recently, using cell-based experiments, we showed platinum-based...
Detailed facts of...
Eosinophils are multifunctional leukocytes that degrade and remodel tissue extracellular matrix through production of proteolytic enzymes, release proinflammatory factors to initiate propagate inflammatory responses, direct activation mucus secretion smooth muscle cell constriction.
