Body size is a trait that results from evolutionary and ecological processes. not only provides information on the physical condition of individuals but also shift in community structure across space time. Here, we aimed to investigate whether body migratory fishes changed over time ascertain abiotic variables explaining these changes; effect was different between fish dammed (Paraná River) undammed (Ivinhema rivers. Using temporal series (1986 - 2018) linear mixed effects models, evaluated...
Abstract This study focused on the distribution of fish with high reproductive activity along a basin, using 430 km stretch Cuiabá River in Brazil as model. The main objective this was to identify those that migrate long distances for reproduction, among all basin species. Thus, set working criteria are proposed classify species according their behaviour ( i.e ., and distribution). Samplings were performed encompassing several environments (river, channels lakes) during periods (between...
This study comprises the first fish inventory of Água das Araras stream, a small tributary Laranjinha River, in upper Paraná River basin. Four samplings were carried out seasonally between June 2010 and July 2011, 12 collecting sites distributed from headwater to mouth stream its tributaries, using seines gill nets capture specimens. A total 5,328 specimens collected, six orders, 15 families, 33 genera, 41 species. The most representative terms species richness, Siluriformes Characiformes....
