A neonatal case of type 1 pseudohypoaldosteronism is described. The patient showed difficulty in sucking associated with hyponatremia, hyperkalemia and elevated plasma renin aldosterone levels. ACTH 17-OH-progesteron levels were normal. Sodium chloride supplementation was effective controlling symptoms normalizing biochemical alterations it no longer necessary after the sixth month.
