Comparative voltammetric studies were performed between high purity pyrite mineral (98.86%) and arsenopyrite (content of 85.96% arsenopyrite, FeAsS; 11.84% pyrite, FeS2; 0.98% galena, PbS; 0.06% chalcopyrite, CuFeS2) in order to analyze the galvanic effect on electrochemical reactivity two different mineralogical phases when these are associated same mineral, using carbon paste electrodes (CPE) 0.1 M NaNO3 (pH 6.5) as electrolyte. Theoretical for a more detailed analysis total energy...

Abstract magnified image An efficient and fast procedure for the synthesis of 2‐(2‐pyridyl)azoles is described using ionic liquids as catalysts under microwave irradiation. The X‐ray crystallographic analyses three four synthesized compounds are presented. Potentiodynamic polarization studies were carried out to analyze electrochemical behavior in corrosive acidic media. Of derivatives, one compound was detected be an effective corrosion inhibitor prototype oil refinery environments.

Abstract An electrochemical study of corrosion behavior for carbon steel in a solution like NACE TM0177 after adding pyridine derivatives is presented. Weight-loss measurements, as the modification potentials toward less negative (in linear polarization) presence compounds, indicated inhibition process; however, potentiodynamic polarization curves showed an acceleration oxidation process. analysis impedance spectroscopy (EIS) spectra by equivalent circuit fitting charge-transfer resistances...

This study shows the inhibitory activity of hexane, acetone and methanol extracts Brugmansia arborea (B. arborea) during corrosion 1018 steel in 0.5 M H2SO4. was carried out by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) potentiodynamic polarization curves (PDP) techniques. The maximum efficiency for three registered with 400 500 ppm concentrations, obtaining 98% EIS 80% PDP. Through PDP, an inhibition behavior cathodic type determined. During residence time test, B. reached a at 24 h...

In this work, the corrosion behavior of carbon steel AISI 1018 immersed in a sour water sample solution collected from refinery plant, was studied, varying temperature between 25 to 50°C with and without stirring. Polarization curves indicate negligible modification anodic branch stirring; but, cathodic is more sensitive change. Also, analysis surface samples by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) shows no film products. The values electrochemical noise localization index (LI), that sites...
