Background: Lung adenocarcinoma accounts for approximately 40% of lung cancer cases and poses a serious threat to human health. Therefore, there is an urgent need identify central biomarkers in adenocarcinoma. Methods: We first identified the EMT-associated genes LUAD based on TCGA cohort. Then we screened these 90 using univariate Cox regression analysis LASSO develop prognostic gene signature training set. The predictive performance was assessed validation set multiple external test sets...
In Brief BACKGROUND: Anesthesia-controlled time (ACT) generally refers to the durations before and after period of surgery. The ACT is typically dependent on sequence 2 consecutive surgeries thus adds complexity operating room scheduling. We report a study sequence-dependent ACTs at West China Hospital (WCH), focusing elective (also referred as “procedures” below) performed by ophthalmology department WCH over 5-year period, 2007 2012. METHODS: associated with 4 high-volume procedures:...
Blood centers in large hospitals China are facing serious problems, including complex patient queues and inflexible nursing schedules. This study is aimed at developing a flexible scheduling method for blood center nurses. By systematically analyzing the constraints that affect scheduling, model established based on queuing theory mixed integer programming. combined can reasonably determine number of nurses required during given working period flexibly arrange schedules while ensuring...
In order to improve the utilization ratio of surgery resources and develop a better scheduling method, we build MIP based model solve it effectively. Two numerical examples with real data are employed prove effectiveness model.
In order to improve the utilization of CT in hospital, this paper build a MIP based scheduling model and solve it with CPLEX get optimization policy. Numeric example real data from large general hospital West China are employed do comparison between policy manual prove effectiveness model.
Surgical scheduling is an important decision-making problem in the operational management of hospital. We formulate this as Integer Programming model for purpose maximizing surgical throughput, and discuss decomposition property based on inner features scheduling. At last exact optimal method, Branch-and-Price, proposed to solve model.
In order to make the effective adjusting surgical schedule when emergency surgery is arriving, this paper build a MIP based model and solve it with solver CPLEX. Numeric example simulation test are employed assess effectiveness performance of model.
Abstract To identify a cancer stemness-related prognostic signature, we analyzed RNA-seq data of patients with lung adenocarcinoma from the TCGA and GEO cohort using univariate Cox LASSO analysis. Eight genes (PLEK2, GPX8, TCN1, PERP, CD79A, PAX5, FSCN1, CNNM1) were eventually identified to develop signature. AUCs for 5-year overall survival 0.681, 0.673, 0.774 in training, validation, test sets, respectively. Kaplan-Meier curve analysis showed that high-risk group has poor as compared...
