The classification of surface myoelectric signals (sEMG) remains a great challenge when focused on its implementation in an electromechanical hand prosthesis, due to nonlinear and stochastic nature, as well the difference between models applied offline online. In this work, selection set features that allowed us obtain best results for type is presented. order compare obtained, Nina PRO DB2 DB3 databases were used, which contain information 50 different movements 40 healthy subjects 11...
We describe a transportable distance measurement system based on synthetic wavelength interferometry. Two frequency-doubled Nd:yttrium aluminum garnet lasers at 532 nm are used to generate of approximately 2.5 cm. A nonpolarizing interferometric has been set up eliminate polarization cross-talk issue. superheterodyne detection was performed measure the phase and determine absolute distances. The capability achieve fringe interpolation 2pi/5600 demonstrated an agreement in 4 microm level...
The use of digital image correlation for optical monitoring corrosion processes occurring in a metallic sample is here proposed. formation and reduction products (oxides) over the surface an old copper coin immersed electrolytic basic mixture analyzed through standard electrochemical characterization and, simultaneously, registered by means simple experimental setup which corresponding sequential images are registered, stored digitally processed utilizing method. This method may be helpful...
In this work, a conventional surface roughness comparator is used to perform an analysis of different textures. The Hurst exponent method for the characterization optical profiles and speckle digital patterns obtained from was used. By implementation simple experimental setup with minimum alignment, information about specific points on obtained. processing signals images by reflection allowed calculation coefficients, revealing relation between roughness, patterns. simplicity suggest their...
Confocal sensors are usually used in dimensional metrology applications, like roughness, form, thickness and surface profile measurements. With the progress of technologies, metrological applications require measurements with nanometer-level accuracy by using ultra-high precision machines, which should present a minimum stable loop. The loop is equipped resolution linear residual. study presented here, mainly focused on characterization order to identify their performance practically. Such...
The thermal drifts caused by the power dissipated mechanical guiding systems are main limit on accuracy of an ultrahigh precision cylindricity measuring machine. For this reason, a high-precision compact prototype, henceforth setup, has been designed to simulate behavior measurement It uses in situ calibration capacitive displacement probes comparison with four laser interferometers. setup includes three heating wires for simulating powers systems, 19 platinum resistance thermometers (Pt100)...
We developed an interferometric optical micro-probe, for the purpose of non-contact measurement distance-to-surface samples in confined environments, such as holes and trenches whose lateral dimensions are order hundreds microns (typically fuel injection nozzles). A Michelson interferometer was integrated at end a 4mm-long, 390μm-thick, 550μm-wide cantilever, which incorporates grooves input-output fibers. The whole system is monolithic silicon block obtained by DRIE. fabricated probe...
In this work an application of digital holographic microscopy as a tool for oxide layer growth monitoring onto copper sample, well determination corrosion products formation rate and type taking place (localized or uniform corrosion) is presented.
The key comparison EURAMET.L-K8.2013 on roughness was carried out in the framework of a EURAMET project starting 2013 and ending 2015. It involved participation 17 National Metrology Institutes from Europe, Asia, South America Africa representing four regional metrology organisations. Five surface texture standards different type were circulated each several parameters according to standard ISO 4287 had be determined. 32 395 individual results not consistent with reference value. After some...
We report about profile measurements using miniaturized Michelson interferometer acting as optical probe. Two characterization techniques were deployed: FFT of spectral response and monochromatic light. Resulting profiles are compared with those obtained by commercial equipments.
This paper describes a transportable distance measurement system based on synthetic wavelength interferometry using two frequency-doubled Nd:YAG lasers. A non-polarizing has been setup to eliminate polarization cross-talk issue. partly software-implemented superheterodyne detection was performed measure the phase. fringe interpolation of 2π/5600 is demonstrated and an accuracy ~4 μm achieved over 3 m.
The results of the bilateral comparison on line-scale between French (LNE) and Indonesian (KIM-LIPI) NMI for length, is presented. 5 angle blocks (5'', 5', 30', 5°, 30°) were measured by both participants. LNE acted as coordinator pilot laboratory. showed a disagreement participants mainly 5' block due to geometrical defects. Main text To reach main this paper, click Final Report . Holographic interferometry-based methods represent an interesting innovation for monitoring electrochemical corrosion processes. One of these techniques based on a Michelson interferometric configuration allows quantitative and qualitative obtaining information related to corrosion, being simple inspection intensity patterns with no direct physical contact sample during reaction time, preservation practically guaranteed. In this work the performance interferometry investigation such...
