A multifunctional aviation aluminum alloy with good superhydrophobicity and corrosion resistance was prepared by a two-step process of etching followed polymer modification. Reaction between nanometer γ-Al2O3 and H3PO4 to form AlPO4 by hydro-thermal method was studied.
