The effects of alloy composition and heat treatment on the intrinsic coercivity Hci SmCo5 magnets were studied. Alloys having six chemical compositions near that stoichiometric used to produce via usual powder metallurgy techniques. Magnets either as sintered (1150 °C) or treated at 850 °C. substantial increase in due °C occurs reversibly with a negligible change lattice parameters, Curie temperature Tc anisotropy field HA. Quantitative metallography thermomagnetic measurements showed...
We studied the high temperature decomposition mechanism for Fe/sub 17/Sm/sub 2/N phase using several different experimental techniques, as thermomagnetic and thermogravimetric analyses. Our results show that occurs in a two step scheme. In first reaction we hare formation of SmN solid solution nitrogen iron. second step, this degases, observe evolution over broad range.
An enhancement of the Curie temperature, T/sub c/, was deduced from ac-susceptibility measurements on R/sub 2/Fe/sub 14/B (R=Nd and Pr) phase for exchange coupled nanocrystalline magnets with respect to corresponding microcrystalline magnets.
We describe the construction of a thermomagnetic analyser that uses microfurnace. The equipment can work in temperature range -30/spl deg/C up to 1000/spl deg/C, with heating/cooling rates as high 50/spl deg/C/min. without hysteresis. design allows use excitation and pick-up coils thousands turns, working at room temperature. This gives sensitivity revealed by measurement magnetic transitions thin films masses order 500 /spl mu/g. reproducibility measurements is very good, there only...
Objective: To determine the prevalence of recurrent wheezing (RW) in preterm infants who received prophylaxis against severe infection with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and to identify genetic susceptibility (atopy or asthma) risk factors for RW. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study involving palivizumab at referral center Brazil during first two years age. A structured questionnaire administered face-to-face interview parents legal guardians. Results: The included 410 (median age...
The results of oxygen absorption in temperatures ranging from 200 to 500 °C are reported for the phases Fe17R2, R=Pr and Sm. It was observed that saturation limit is temperature dependent, being 3 at/fu at °C, 12.8 300 20.3 400 28.5 °C. This implies above phase deeply altered by absorption. Samples with were studied as prepared heat treated °C/40 h. show heat-treated samples consist Fe, R2O3. Metallographic examination, susceptibility, Mössbauer spectroscopy data support hypothesis...
