We study a quantum battery made out of N nonmutually interacting qubits coupled to dissipative single electromagnetic field mode in resonator. quantify the charging energy, ergotropy, transfer rate, and power system, showing that collective enhancements are still present despite losses, can even increase with dissipation. Moreover, we observe performance deterioration due dissipation be reduced by scaling up size. This is useful for experimental realizations when controlling quality...
Single quantum emitters embedded in solid-state hosts are an ideal platform for realizing information processors and network nodes. Among the currently investigated candidates, ${\mathrm{Er}}^{3+}$ ions particularly appealing due to their $1.5\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{\ensuremath{\mu}}\mathrm{m}$ optical transition telecom band as well long spin coherence times. However, lifetimes of excited state---generally excess 1 ms---along with inhomogeneous broadening result significant challenges....
In this letter, Bayes-based confidence measure (BBCM) in speech recognition is proposed. BBCM applicable to any standard word feature and makes use of information about the engine performance. contrast ordinary measures, a probability, which interesting itself from practical theoretical point view. If applied with density (WDCM), dramatically improves discrimination ability false acceptance curve when compared WDCM itself.
We propose laconic classification as a novel way to understand and compare the performance of diverse image classifiers. The goal in this setting is minimise amount information (aka. entropy) required individual test images maintain correct classification. Given classifier image, we compute an approximate minimal-entropy positive for which provides classification, becoming incorrect upon any further reduction. notion entropy offers unifying metric that allows combine effects various types...
For an automated camera focus, a fast and reliable algorithm is key to its success. It should work in precisely defined way for as many cases possible. However, there are parameters which have be fine-tuned it exactly intended. Most literature only focuses on the itself tests with simulations or renderings, but not real settings. Trying gather this data by manually placing objects front of feasible, no human can perform one movement repeatedly same way, makes objective comparison impossible....
Superconducting traveling-wave parametric amplifiers are a promising amplification technology suitable for applications in submillimeter astronomy. Their implementation relies on the use of Floquet transmission lines order to create strong stopbands suppress undesired harmonics. In design process, amplitude equations used predict their gain, operation frequency, and bandwidth. However, usual do not take into account real imaginary parts dispersion characteristic impedance that results from...
