Fragile X messenger ribonucleoprotein 1 protein (FMRP) binds many mRNA targets in the brain. The contribution of these to fragile syndrome (FXS) and related autism spectrum disorder (ASD) remains unclear. Here, we show that FMRP deficiency leads elevated microtubule-associated 1B (MAP1B) developing human non-human primate cortical neurons. Targeted MAP1B gene activation healthy neurons or triplication ASD patient-derived inhibit morphological physiological maturation. Activation Map1b adult...
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease characterized by the immune cell-mediated progressive destruction of pancreatic -cells. High-mobility group box protein (HMGB1) has been recognized as a potential mediator to enhance development T1D. So we speculated that HMGB1 inhibitors could have anti-diabetic effect. Sodium butyrate short fatty acid derivative possessing anti-inflammatory activity inhibiting HMGB1. In current study, evaluated effects sodium in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced...
The radioprotective effect of amitriptyline, an inhibitor acid sphingomyelinase (ASMase), on radiation-induced impairment hippocampal neurogenesis, loss interneuron, and animal weight changes was investigated in BALB/c mice by immunostaining biomarkers for cell division (Ki67), immature neurons (doublecortin or DCX), interneurons (parvalbumin PV) the dentate gyrus (DG) hippocampus. results indicated that preirradiation (with 10 mg/kg, 2 times per day, 7 consecutive days) postirradiation 14...
We report two patients with chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) developing hypoplasia and karyotype conversion after conventional busulphan therapy. Initially, the percentage of Ph‐positive metaphases in marrow for both was 100%, which steadily diminished up to a complete disappearance case 1 decreased dramatically 2 following hypoplasia. Thereafter Southern blot RT‐PCR assays revealed no abnormalities. Both have survived 9 years remained good clinical haematological remission without any...
Objective: To evaluate the significance of two-color interphase fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) using X and Y centromere probe engraftment estimation minimal residual disease (MRD) monitoring after allogeneic stem cell transplantation (alloSCT). Methods: Samples from 12 cases patients different periods alloSCT were detected by FISH. Results: All proved to obtain 22–35 days alloSCT. While traditional karyotype showed as 100%XX or 100%XY invariably, FISH percentages donor original...
