Background: Survival patterns after HIV infection in African populations the era before antiretroviral therapy (ART) form an important baseline for measuring future successes of treatment programmes. Few studies have followed seroconverters 10 or more years to describe such patterns. Methods: The Kisesa open cohort study conducted four rounds village-based testing and 20 household-based demographic surveillance between 1994 2006. Approximate dates were established individual by allocating a...

Linking a health and demographic surveillance system (HDSS) to data from facility that serves the HDSS population generates research infrastructure for directly observed on access utilization of services. Many sites, however, are in areas lack unique national identifiers or suffer quality issues, such as incomplete records, spelling errors, name residence changes, all which complicate record linkage approaches when applied retrospectively. We developed Point-of-contact Interactive Record...

Two-dimensional finite element modelling of subsurface anomalies at shallow depth has been done to obtain the response incident SH-waves. Vertically SH and obliquely have examined. Power spectral ratios were studied determine effect on surface seismograms position, shape, depth, size material composition anomaly. A number relationships between anomaly identified. These may be used in solving inverse problem: given seismic motion ground surface, physical properties underground structure.
