The design and performance of a monolithic GaAs SPDT switch applicable to time division duplexer for personal communications are described. For IC used in portable handset communications, 3-V battery operation is mandatory. In order meet this requirement, the was realized by utilizing four depletion-mode JFETs (junction field effect transistors) with superior pinch-off characteristics, an enhancement-mode control JFET. An excellent small insertion loss less than 0.7 dB high isolation 30 have...

The local environment around copper in the Cu 2 O·Al O 3 ·4SiO and CuO·Al glasses was investigated using extended X‐ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) technique. It has been found that each Cu(I) former glass is coordinated to two oxygens through covalent Cu(I)‐O bonds. This primary reason for its low thermal expansion coefficient (∼10 × 10 −7 K −1 ). In latter glass, which made by heating at 600°C air, Cu(II) four bonds are ionic character, contributing increase ∼30 .
