We study the soft behavior of two seemingly different particles that are both referred to as dilatons in literature, namely one appears theories gravity and string theory Nambu-Goldstone boson spontaneously broken conformal invariance. Our primary result is discovery a theorem at subsubleading order for each dilaton, which cases contains operator special transformations. Interesting similarities well differences between dilaton theorems discussed.

We study the behavior of scattering amplitudes bosonic string involving a soft massless state (graviton, dilaton and Kalb-Ramond antisymmetric tensor) closed tachyons or other states. For graviton we confirm results, obtained in ref. [37] using just gauge invariance, up to terms $$ \mathcal{O}\left({q}^1\right) for external \mathcal{O}\left({q}^0\right) Furthermore, also derive amplitude when field becomes soft. These results are new cannot, our knowledge, be derived by invariance. It turns...

A bstract We discuss the flat space limit of AdS using momentum representation CFT correlators. The involves sending radius and dimensions operators dual to massive fields infinity while also scaling appropriately sources operators. In this limit, d -dimensional correlators become ( + 1)-dimensional scattering amplitudes. exemplify our discussion with computation flat-space 3-point function a conserved current, non-conserved charged vector operator its conjugate. should yield amplitude an...

We compute the leading double-soft behavior for gluons and scalars obtained by dimensional reduction of a higher pure gauge theory, from scattering amplitudes living in world-volume Dp-brane bosonic string. In case gluons, we both when two soft are contiguous as well they not contiguous. From our results, that valid string one can easily get limit field theory sending tension to infinity.

Starting from the amplitude with an arbitrary number of massless closed states bosonic string, we compute soft limit when one becomes to subsubleading order in momentum expansion, and show that state is a graviton or dilaton, full string can be expressed as theorem through order. It turns out there are corrections field theoretical case graviton, while for dilaton vanish. We then new theorems, including corrections, simply obtained exchange diagrams where attached other external three-point...

We consider the tree-level scattering amplitudes in NS-NS (Neveu-Schwarz) massless sector of closed superstrings case where one external state becomes soft. compute generically for any number dimensions and kind states through subsubleading order soft expansion. show that, when is a graviton or dilaton, full result can be expressed as theorem factorizing amplitude hard part. This behavior similar to what has previously been observed field theory bosonic string. Differently from string,...

The Ward identities involving the currents associated to spontaneously broken scale and special conformal transformations are derived used determine, through linear order in two soft-dilaton momenta, double-soft behavior of scattering amplitudes soft dilatons any number other particles. It turns out that is equivalent performing single-soft limits one after other. We confirm new theorem perturbatively at tree-level a $D$-dimensional field theory model, as well nonperturbatively by using...

Soft behaviour of closed string amplitudes involving dilatons, gravitons and anti‐symmetric tensors, is studied in the framework bosonic theory. The leading double soft limit gluons analysed as well, starting from scattering computed open string. Field theory expressions are then obtained by sending tension to infinity. presented results have been derived papers Ref [1].

Aimed to a deeper comprehension of manifestly T-dual invariant formulation string theory, in this paper detailed comparison between the non-covariant action proposed by Tseytlin and covariant one Hull is done. These are obtained making both coordinates their duals explicitly appear, on same footing, world-sheet action, so "doubling" along compact dimensions.
