Cloud providers offer idle resources - Spot instances, in an auction-like mechanism. instances provide a dynamic and efficient manner for renting cloud resources. However, failures are often due to price fluctuations. Recently introduced variety of Block run uninterrupted predefined duration. In this paper, we propose model prices determination. Analysis different bidding strategies creating Blocks requests is provided. Two auction-based pricing mechanisms analyzed: Uniform auction...

This paper addresses interconnection contracts in content provisioning scheme with partial cloud migration. Model for traffic workload of such based on popularity factor is introduced. Monte Carlo simulation bandwidth demand estimation used. Cost analysis provider’s resources utilization regarding average requests’ rejection rate observed. The performance incentive migration applied. Three are analysed: Revenue Sharing, Sharing and Wholesale Price contract. Obtained results show that can...

In next generation networks, service providers should take into consideration not only quality of but also users’ experience aspects. this paper we propose Cournot game for modelling competition between two offering the same NGN to users classified according elasticity criterion. The proposed model includes parameters within utility functions and total demand as a function parameters. For have analyzed price setting through three distinctive cases. numerical results shown that providers’...

Forecast errors are always present in network design since they arise either from overestimation or underestimation of future load. Routing procedure can correct the forecast errors. In this paper capacity management model based on load and using dynamic routing for correction is presented. The results preplanned fixed procedures analyzed compared.
