With the advances in field of ultrafast photonics occurring so fast, demand for optical modulation devices with high performance and soliton lasers which can realize evolution multiple pulses is gradually increasing. Nevertheless, saturable absorbers (SAs) appropriate parameters pulsed fiber output abundant mode-locking states still need to be further explored. Due special band gap energy values few-layer indium selenide (InSe) nanosheets, we have prepared a SA based on InSe microfiber by...
We proposed an erbium-doped fiber laser mode-locked with a Mo x W 1- Te 2 -based nonlinear optical modulator for the first time to our best knowledge. This can deliver bright pulses, bright-dark pulse pairs, dark bright-dark-bright and dark-dark-bright pulses. The modulation depth saturation intensity of saturable absorber were about 7.8% 8.6 MW/cm , respectively. When 10% in cavity was output, conventional soliton pulses central wavelength 1560.1 nm be obtained cavity. 70% dual-wavelength...
A MoS 2 /C saturable absorber in erbium-doped fiber lasers is proved to show excellent pulse modulation capabilities.
In this paper, we report the use of CoTe2 nanosheet polyvinyl alcohol composites as saturable absorbers for pulse generation in erbium-doped fiber lasers. The absorption characteristics nanosheets have been investigated, and their modulation depth saturation intensity are 3.64% 1.25 MW/cm2, respectively. By controlling pump power polarization controller, conversion from dark–bright–dark pulses to h-shaped rains can be achieved laser. This mode-locked state transition occurs because nonlinear...
A time-division Fourier transform imaging spectropolarimeter (FTISP) for acquiring spatial, spectral, and polarized information is presented. The FTISP employs two ferroelectric liquid crystals (FLCs) a Wollaston interferometer. fast axes of the FLCs are controlled to switch quickly without mechanical movement, enabling polarization state analyzer (PSA) modulate full set Stokes parameters rapidly. interferometer combines prism with retroreflector, high interference modulation facilitating...
A compact birefringent interferometer (CBI) for Fourier transform hyperspectral imaging is presented. The CBI employs only two crystal plates: a shearing plate (SP) and compensation (CP). SP generates the optical path difference (OPD) associated with field of view broadband interference. CP compensates constant term square OPDs to adjust position zero-order fringe pattern suppress inconsistent total other nonlinear OPDs. This paper details theoretically deduced then presents simulation...
We investigate the generation of bright-dark solitons in erbium-doped mode-locked fiber lasers based on ZrTe2 as saturable absorber. By adjusting pump power and polarization state appropriately, three dual-wavelength operations, namely bright soliton, soliton pairs, dark are acquired. At 230 mW, with central wavelengths 1567.3 1568.1 nm, corresponding to 3-dB bandwidths 0.15 0.2 obtained. For pairs operation, maximum average output largest single-pulse energy 7.2 mW 0.69 nJ, respectively. In...
Abstract Some two-dimensional layered mono-elemental materials have been reported as saturable absorbers (SAs) for the generation of various soliton phenomena, and many excellent results achieved. In our experiment, we made thin films germanene-polyvinyl alcohol (Ge-PVA) applied them SA in Er-doped fiber lasers, investigated Ge’s characteristics, demonstrated conversion from mode-locked to Q-switched (QML). The conventional operation with a repetition rate 9.63 MHz central wavelength 1559.7...
