Injection of epinephrine to 250-to 300-g rats (0.3 mg/day for 2 weeks, followed by 0.6 another 3 weeks) progressively increased the serum PTH and CT, whereas administration approximately 40 mg propranolol daily, in drinking water, decreased levels both these hormones comparison control animals.
