Abstract Purpose This study established a machine learning model (MLM) trained on embryo images to predict fertilization following short‐term insemination for early rescue ICSI and compared its predictive performance with the embryologist's manual classification. Methods Embryo at 4.5 8 h post‐insemination were preprocessed into vectors using ResNet50. The Light Gradient Boosting Machine (Light GBM) was employed training vectors. Fertilization in test dataset assessed by MLM, seven senior 11...

Abstract This study systematically evaluated global tropical cyclone (TC) activity in a new atmospheric reanalysis dataset named the “40‐year Global Reanalysis” (CRA40) against best track data. For comparison, four state‐of‐the‐art reanalyses—ERA5, JRA55, CFSR, and MERRA2—were also assessed. The results showed that there is general underestimation of TC genesis frequency intensity both CRA40 other reanalyses. A detailed investigation spatial distribution, seasonality, interannual variation,...

By using a linear baroclinic model (LBM), this study investigates the different Rossby wave train (RWT) patterns associated with Tibetan Plateau (TP) upper-atmospheric heat source (TPUHS) that is anomalously shallower and deeper in boreal summer. Observational results indicate RWT between developing decaying periods of synoptic TPUHS events, when anomalous develops from relatively to TP source. Based on vertical heating profiles these two observation, forces LBM prescribed mimic summer The...

Abstract This study investigates the occurrence of tropopause folding (TF) events to east Tibetan Plateau (ETP) (TF–ETP) in boreal summer. Firstly, it is revealed that, anomalously frequent TF–ETP summer, always corresponds a significant dipole rainfall anomaly pattern over China, with negative anomalies upper and middle reaches Yangtze Yellow river valleys, positive eastern China. Secondly, South Asian High (SAH) center (TP) found be stronger when frequent. Further diagnosis indicates...
