The ATLAS Level-1 Calorimeter Trigger uses reduced-granularity information from all the calorimeters to search for high transverse-energy electrons, photons, τ leptons and jets, as well missing total transverse energy. calorimeter trigger electronics has a fixed latency of about 1 μs, using programmable custom-built digital electronics. This paper describes hardware, installed in cavern.
In the gas phase, Ioffe–Regel criterion that electron transport becomes modified when mean free path equals wavelength (L = λ) applies clearly only to helium and hydrogen, which have a net repulsive interaction with electrons. The Mott criterion, L λ/2π is in localized state, also these two gases. criteria are less effective for molecules attractive interactions electrons, because not simply additive. They useful xenon gas. assessed for: (a) several highly polarizable, spherical nonspherical...
