The narrow host range of Mycobacterium leprae and the fact that it is refractory to growth in culture has limited research on biologic understanding leprosy. Host genetic factors are thought influence susceptibility infection as well disease progression. We performed a two-stage genomewide association study by genotyping 706 patients 1225 controls using Human610-Quad BeadChip (Illumina). We then tested three independent replication sets for an between presence leprosy 93 single-nucleotide...

Emergence of the utility 3D point cloud data in safety-critical vision tasks (e.g., ADAS) urges researchers to pay more attention robustness representations and deep networks. To this end, we develop an attack defense scheme, dedicated data, for preventing clouds from manipulated as well pursuing noise-tolerable representation. A set novel operations are proposed via pointwise gradient perturbation adversarial attachment / detachment. We then a flexible perturbation-measurement scheme detect...

Investor sentiment plays a crucial role in the stock market, and recent years, numerous studies have aimed to predict future prices by analyzing market obtained from social media or news. This study investigates use of investor media, with focus on Stocktwits, platform for investors. However, using Stocktwits price movements may be challenging due lack user-initiated data limitations existing analyzers, which inaccurately classify neutral comments. To overcome these challenges, this proposes...

Fall detection has become a popular research topic in recent years due to the fact that falls can cause serious injuries. Most existing fall systems rely on wearable devices or image recognition technology. However, these approaches possess limitations. For instance, most people take off during showers, while cameras with raise privacy concerns. To overcome challenges, this study proposes novel approach using 60-GHz radar develop system. We collected raw data from frequency-modulated...

Due to the growing importance of positioning in recent years, global system has become widely used. However, indoor presents significant challenges due multipath interference, which can cause large signal fluctuations and high errors for signal-based approaches. Recent advances deep learning have enabled researchers estimate people's positions locate them indoors using image recognition technology, but identification individuals remains challenging. Therefore, we propose a highly accurate...

Occlusion is a significant problem in 3D human pose estimation from the 2D counterpart. On one hand, without explicit annotation, skeleton hard to be accurately estimated occluded pose. other might correspond multiple skeletons with low confidence parts. To address these issues, we decouple representation feature into view-invariant part termed occlusion-aware and view-dependent rotation facilitate subsequent optimization of former. Then propose an contrastive based scheme (OCR-Pose)...
