Abstract Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are a central component of therapy for hematologic malignancies. Widely used mAb agents in multiple myeloma (MM) include daratumumab and elotuzumab. However, not all patients respond to these agents, resistance is significant clinical issue. A recently discovered subset human natural killer (NK) cells lacking expression FcεRIγ (g-NK cells) was found have multifold increase antibody-dependent effector functions after CD16 crosslinking. In this study, we...
Igneous intrusions are common in sedimentary basins, and their occurrence can significantly affect the diagenesis reservoir quality evolution of sandstones, thereby strongly impacting hydrocarbons-, geothermal-, CO 2 -storage potentials. The Qasim sandstones Tabuk region (NW Saudi Arabia) experienced shallow burial (<2 km) when Tertiary magma intruded to form basaltic sills (0.4–4 m thick). sedimentology, tectono-stratigraphic framework, provenance, chemostratigraphy Formation have...
Middle Miocene post-rift sediments are considered prolific subsurface reservoirs, representing one of the thickest sequences in Red Sea rift basin. In Umm Luj Basin eastern Sea, well exposed and represented by a carbonate-dominated system Raghama Formation. This formation was intensely fractured, following rifting trend Sea. Such fractures their associated diagenetic products could provide significant archive past tectonic fluid evolution. However, little is known about origin timing...
We report the first discovery of vase-shaped microfossils (VSMs) and possible multichambered foraminifera from Ediacaran rocks Saudi Arabia. The successions Arabia are well exposed in northwestern central part Arabian plate but relatively understudied due to lack economic potential. exposures can be found different small sedimentary basins distributed along flanks Najd Fault system western Plate. Dhaiqa sub-basin located near historic city Al-Ula contains some best Mattar Formations with...
ABSTRACT: The benthic foraminiferal have been studied from mudstone-wackestones of the D5 Unit Dhruma Formation that represent Middle Jurassic J30 maximum flooding surface Sharland et al. (2001). assemblage consists a mixture smaller agglutinated species, Haplophragmoides, Kutsevella, Sculptobaculites, Trochammina), and calcareous species (Nautiloculina, nodosariids, ophthalmidiids, polymorphinids, spirillinids) without any larger foraminifera. is indicative open-marine midshelf conditions,...
The Middle Jurassic Dhruma Formation of Saudi Arabia is economic importance because it contains three hydrocarbon reservoirs. We report the first record physically extracted benthic foraminiferal assemblages from D5 and D6 member outcrops near Riyadh, Central Arabia, using acetic acid method. This study limestone units intended to improve our understanding about depositional environments area related bio-events. Microfossils such as foraminifera are important in this aspect that they can be...
Abstract. We report the occurrence of an Ammobaculoides-dominated assemblage in lowermost member Middle Jurassic Dhruma Formation exposed west Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The new species Ammobaculoides dhrumaensis n.sp. is described from green shale D1 unit (also known as Balum Member) Formation, which has been assigned early Bajocian age based on ammonites. Our finding constitutes oldest reported worldwide agglutinated foraminiferal genus Plummer, 1932.
The Precambrian sedimentary successions in the northwestern part of Arabian plate are found various isolated basins, associated with rifting phases Najd fault system. While some preliminary work focusing on low-resolution geochemistry and radiometric age dating has been performed it is considered insufficient explaining depositional system these sediments. This absence comprehensive sedimentological control resulted previously formulated conclusions which fail to clarify extent environment...
Abstract The southern regions of the Arabian plate in Oman feature remarkable exposures Ediacaran strata, which hold significance not only for their association with subsurface hydrocarbon reserves but also hosting evidence world's largest negative marine Carbon excursion "The Shuram-Wanoka Anomaly". In contrast, analogous sequences present northern sections within Kingdom Saudi Arabia, have yet to reveal potential or indication Shuram anomaly and this disparity has fueled geological...
An optimization experiment with different acid concentrations was carried out to assess the use of minimum sustainable limits for extraction microfossils from indurated limestones. Two limestone formations Jurassic and Miocene ages were tested. Different ranging 50–100% processing times varying 2–10 hours tested optimal recoveries. The residue recoveries show a similar trend both formations. weight percentage particle size >1 mm decreased as concentration increased, especially in 50 80%...
