This article analyses the determinants of a country's PPP policies. Using World Bank's 135-country Procuring Infrastructure PPPs 2018 database, we examine role legal traditions, European Union membership, transparency and macroeconomic indicators on policies governing adoption, procurement management in infrastructures. We find that has positive effect quality Scandinavian countries are reluctant to enter into PPPs, while legislation impact only process. Macroeconomic indicator effects weak...
Abstract Analysing the environmental actorness of EU, more than one voice has spoken myth a Green Europe and dismantling process its ambitions. To date, any attempt to quantify this in homogeneous fashion by different levels government institutions run into serious difficulties. This research, however, uses green public procurement (GPP) as research instrument commitment policies. We construct database from tenders published Supplement Official Journal between 2009 2019. Based on 743,061...
Abstract Academics and policymakers are increasingly shifting the debate concerning best form of public service provision beyond traditional dilemma between pure private delivery modes, because, among other reasons, there is a growing body evidence that casts doubt on existence systematic cost savings from privatization, while any competition seems to be eroded over time. In this paper, we compare relative merits within mixed system. We study role played by ownership, transaction costs,...
In this work, an experimental study of a novel microfabricated heat sink configuration that tends to uniform the wall temperature, even with increasing flow is presented. The design consists series microchannel sections stepwise varying width. This scheme counteracts temperature increase by reducing local thermal resistance along path. A test apparatus flux and distributed measurements was developed for exchanger characterisation. energy balance checked distribution analysed each test....
