Abstract Oxygen activation plays a crucial role in many important chemical reactions such as oxidation of organic compounds and oxygen reduction. For developing highly active materials for activation, herein, we report an atomically dispersed Pt on WO 3 nanoplates stabilized by situ formed amorphous H 2 4 out‐layer the mechanism activating molecular oxygen. Experimental theoretical studies demonstrate that isolated atoms coordinated with from [WO 6 ] water , consequently leading to optimized...

Abstract The nitrogen‐deficient graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C 3 N 4 ) has been prepared, a new excited state absorption (ESA) up‐conversion mode is discovered, which directly induced by structural defects, showing distinct chemical characteristics from those based on lanthanide ions and triplet states chromophores. abundant 2C vacancies in g‐C nanosheets work as the crucial intermediate excitation states, lead to upconverted emitting at wavelength of 436 nm light with 800 nm. This process...

Abstract 0D/2D heterojunctions, especially quantum dots (QDs)/nanosheets (NSs) have attracted significant attention for use of photoexcited electrons/holes due to their high charge mobility. Herein, unprecedent heterojunctions vanadate (AgVO 3 , BiVO 4 InVO and CuV 2 O 6 ) QDs/graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C N NSs exhibiting multiple unique advances beyond traditional composites been developed. The photoactive contribution, up‐conversion absorption, nitrogen coordinating sites g‐C NSs, highly...

Large-scale uniform ZnO dumbbells and ZnO/ZnS hollow nanocages were successfully synthesized via a facile hydrothermal route combined with subsequent etching treatment. The formed through preferential dissolution of the twinned (0001) plane dumbbells. Due to their special morphology, show better sensing properties ethanol than gain in sensitivity is attributed both interface between ZnS heterostructure architecture that promotes analyte diffusion increases available active surface area.

Abstract As a remarkable gas‐sensing material, ZnO is limited by the gas selectivity of its indiscriminate response to multiple gases. Herein, abnormal p‐type responses ether but n‐type othervolatile organic compoundsare observed in Co‐ZnO nanocomposite films. It should be attributed inversion region at particle interface, on which tends selectively adsorb. By controlling Co content, nanoflower structure realized, significantly increases adsorption sites and enhances eight times that film....

Abstract Silicon boron carbonitride (SiBCN) ceramic aerogels have gained great interests for their excellent high‐temperature stability, thermal insulation, and low density, capable of achieving multifunctional applications. Here, a carbon foam reinforced SiBCN aerogel (CF/SiBCN) was prepared using polyborosilazane (PBSZ) as precursor melamine‐derived (CF) skeleton via hydrothermal assembly, freeze‒drying, pyrolysis. The CF/SiBCN exhibits density (0.13‒0.58 g cm −3 ) high porosity...

Single-phase and (0001)-oriented hexagonal klockmannite CuSe nanoplates were successfully synthesized through hot injection using a green triethylene glycol-based solution. It was found that polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as an assisting agent played key role in determining the plate-shaped morphology phase of product, pure Cu2–xSe nanocrystals obtained without PVP addition under same other synthetic parameters.
