The high activity of metallic magnesium and alloys limits its potential in biomedical applications; recent years, extensive efforts have been devoted to modulating this reactivity. In work, we present Mg(OH)2 TiO2 barrier coatings reduce the degradation alloy (Mg-Ca-Zn) surfaces. These were deposited by anodization method spin-coating technique, respectively. anodized layer was coated with generated from hydrolysis 3% weight TTIP (Ti[OCH(CH3)2]4, Titanium(IV) isopropoxide) 2-Propanol method....

Aluminium samples were exposed for six months to Carribean sea water. The fluctuations of the free corrosion potential values (Ecorr at o.c.p.), considered as electrochemical noise, correlated with aluminium pitting in water, influenced by different crystalline phases formed on metal surface: Al(OH)3 a product pits, and likewise crystals MgCaCO3 SiO2 proceeding from At three film bio-fouling had grown surface, two diatoms (microalgae). Ecorr fluctuation analysis was carried out using power...

This work deals with the initial localized corrosion activity of AA2024‐T3 exposed up to 24 h in diluted substitute ocean water, simulating marine environment low chloride contamination. The pits appeared since first hour at periphery CuFeMn particles and Mg‐ions release was found be 0.5 mg L −1 , originated from S‐phase (Al 2 CuMg). Fine were detached layer, composed AlCl 3 · 6H O FeCl 2H products. Localized electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (LEIS) measurements performed situ open...

The electrochemical behaviour and surface changes on AA6061-T6 alloy exposed to Caribbean seawater from the Cozumel Channel for 30 days under laminar flow (0.1 m s−1) were studied, contrasting then with stationary (no flow) conditions. Monitoring of open-circuit potential current fluctuations, both considered as noise (EN), employed two nondestructive methods. calculated corrosion current, based Rn, was one order higher in flow. fluctuations transformed frequency domain. Their power spectral...

This paper presents a theoretical and experimental evaluation of benzidine derivatives as electroactive molecules for organic redox flow batteries. These indicators are novel materials that can perform multielectron transfers in aqueous media. We performed the synthesis, electrochemical characterization, study dimer sodium 4-diphenylamine sulfonate, derivative with high water solubility properties. The Pourbaix diagram shows bielectronic process at highly acidic pH values (≤ 0.9) two...

Ambas mediciones llevadas a cabo in situ potencial circuito abierto. Los mapas LEIS mostraron la distribución magnitud impedancia |Z| superficie aleación, sugiriendo una heterogeneidad el desarrollo sitios...

Abstract Through our waste minimization studies in the SC 33/50 Technical Assistance Program (SC TAP), we found Burrows process as modified by Myerson [1] to be attractive for South Carolina industry because of its low capital cost and simplicity. However, many thermo‐dynamic properties are not available practical application process. Therefore, objective was determine key solubility data: (1) ZnCl2 + NH4Cl H2O system (2) ZnO system.
