The global financial crisis started a new context of late capitalism and austerity urbanism. Instead unidirectional governance transformation towards entrepreneurialism, rising finance financialisation, pervasive state roles in post-growth municipal radicalism are competing trends. Previously, China witnessed private entrepreneurship, economic devolution, housing commodification at the turn millennium. They have been portrayed as urban or entrepreneurialism. These features were transformed...

While the enabling role of state in financialization urban development has been widely noted, changing and variegated roles different actors have less explored. This paper investigates this issue based on chengtou as financial agencies China. First, we show that is not merely a state-led process, but also restricted at stages. Second, albeit with stringent central regulations, local states striven to support chengtou, which demonstrates intrastate divergence. Third, illustrate performance...

The death of urban entrepreneurialism is proclaimed surprisingly by opposite conceptualisations austerity urbanism and radical municipalism. This paper argues that rather than seeing them as contrasting types, post-pandemic statecraft reflects the increasing tension entanglement between capitalistic territorial logic. From ground Chinese governance, we illustrate how maintains state strategic extra-economic intention through deploying mobilising market society - to create its own agents...

Financialized urban governance means that local governments have been increasingly reliant on financial techniques and in some extreme cases, captured by shareholders’ interests. However, financialized mutates with various characteristics of governance. This paper unpacks China based the operation Shanghai Municipal Investment Corporation (SMI). The municipal government uses SMI as an intermediary to finance development. Based latest corporatization SMI, we illustrate embryonic form which...

Abstract In this work, a dual-strategy approach of Ti-intercalation and Mo vacancies was utilized to engineer VMo-Ti-MoSe2, aiming enhance the electrochemical performance potassium-ion batteries (PIBs). The intercalation strategy reduces band gap expands layer spacing MoSe2, which alleviates volume expansion during potassiation/depotassiation processes accelerates rapid migration potassium ions. Furthermore, engineered not only facilitate excitation conduction electrons but also...
