Abstract In the present research, usability of cellulosic-based fibers obtained from Sorghum bicolor plant stem as reinforcing in composites and textiles was investigated. The were a growing wild Adana region South Turkey. Density, chemical structure analysis, FTIR, XRD, TGA, XPS SEM, single fiber tensile tests characterized (SBF). SBF contains cellulose (73.6%), hemicellulose (13.3%), lignin (12.1%). oxygen/carbon ratio 0.43 found result analysis indicates that have hydrophilic character....
Abstract In this study, micro‐drilling tests were carried out on composite laminates reinforced with hybrid (aramid‐carbon) and carbon fibers. Thrust force, hole quality, tool wear, temperature parameters measured assessed following each drilling test. The quality of holes includes circularity, overcut, damage factor (HDF), taper ratio. Micro‐drilling was performed a CNC milling machine using 0.6 mm drill diameter, 7500 rpm, 0.5 mm/min feed parameters. plates are 3.05 (carbon fiber) 3.45...
Ecological problems, high cost, and non-renewability of petroleum its derivatives have increased the research on new sustainable natural products. For this purpose, physical, chemical, mechanical properties Mentha pulegium L. (MPL) fiber, which may potential for use in textile composite sectors, were determined by extraction characterization. Fiber density, length, diameter detected physical tests. Cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin ratios fiber obtained chemical analysis confirmed Fourier...
Eco-friendly materials receive more attention due to the necessity of addressing pollution and resource depletion in face exponential industrial expansion. Natural fibers provide a sustainable substitution, especially green composites. This study investigated feasibility Allium fistulosum L. (Scallion) as fiber for composite applications by using its tassel. is derived from widely available plant waste tassels properties have potential be reinforcing component The investigation involves...
Abstract Braiding technique is one of the most cost‐effective and versatile methods to manufacture braided preforms for producing textile reinforced composites. Carbon fiber common reinforcing fibers having high strength modulus used in high‐performance In this study, epoxy resin was modified with 3‐aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) 3‐aminopropylmethyldimethoxysilane (APMDMS) order enhance interfacial adhesion between matrix carbon fiber. Composites were produced by vacuum‐assisted infusion...
Antimicrobial textile products are developing rapidly as an important part of functional textiles. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) nanotechnology with antimicrobial properties. However, exposure to in daily life is issue for public health, still being updated. Aim was evaluate the effects AgNPs on development zebrafish embryos focusing Wnt pathway, proliferation, oxidant-antioxidant status, and apoptosis. The expressions ccnd1 gsk3β were determined by RT-PCR, whereas β-catenin proliferative...
There is no apparel and accessories luxury without exceptional human technical skills. Nowadays it evident that - after the recent economic crisis also Covid-19 pandemic profoundly reshaping meaning goals of "fashion education" term, as well its professional landscape.
The aim of this work is to create a new bio-based photocurable oligomer by starting with soybean oil instead petroleum-based chemicals. For purpose, acrylic acid (AA) and epoxidized (ESBO) were initially reacted. Then the obtained acrylated ESBO (AESBO) was reacted isocyanate groups 2,4-toluene diisocyanate - 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (TDI-HEMA) adduct. TDI chosen as source since it most widely produced used form in global polyurethane industry. HEMA provided hydroxyl acrylate needed for...
