The contribution of the dendritic structure in catalysis ester hydrolysis was investigated with a systematic peptide dendrimer series increasing generation number (G1-G4) containing catalytic consensus sequence His-Ser all branches. A strong positive effect observed up to 100-fold increased histidine reactivity between G1 and G4. Kinetic studies isothermal calorimetric titration experiments showed that resulted from cooperativity binding catalysis.

Enzymelike kinetics were observed in the hydrolysis of 7-hydroxy-1-methylquinolium esters 2 under catalysis three a family synthetic peptide dendrimers 1. Their synthesis was based on symmetrical branching diamino acid (B), variable amino positions (A1, A2, A3=His, Asp, Ser), and disulfide bond dimerization strategy. All possible permutations catalytic triad acids aspartate, histidine, serine at gave 21 dendrimers. Supporting information for this article is available WWW...

Peptide dendrimers built by iteration of the diamino acid dendron Dap-His-Ser (His = histidine, Ser Serine, Dap propionic acid) display a strong positive dendritic effect for catalytic hydrolysis 8-acyloxypyrene 1,3,6-trisulfonates, which proceeds with enzyme-like kinetics in aqueous medium (Delort, E.; Darbre, T.; Reymond, J.-L. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2004, 126, 15642-3). Thirty-two mutants original third generation dendrimer A3 ((Ac-His-Ser)8(Dap-His-Ser)4(Dap-His-Ser)2Dap-His-Ser-NH2) were...

Catalytic esterase peptide dendrimers with a core active site were discovered by functional screening of 65 536-member combinatorial library third-generation using fluorogenic 1-acyloxypyrene-3,6,8-trisulfonates as substrates. In the best catalyst, RMG3, ((AcTyrThr)8(DapTrpGly)4(DapArgSerGly)2DapHisSerNH2), ester hydrolysis is catalyzed single catalytic histidine residue at dendrimer core. A pair arginine residues in first-generation branch assists substrate binding. The proficiency RMG3...

Abstract The volatile constituents of the peel solvent extract Australian finger lime Citrus australasica were analysed by GC–MS. Besides limonene, isomenthone was a major component, which is rare in species. Six new terpenyl esters also identified and confirmed chemical synthesis: citronellyl 2‐methylbutanoate; 1,8(10)‐ p ‐menthadien‐9‐yl propanoate; 3‐methylbutanoate; 1‐ ‐menthen‐9‐yl 3‐methylbutanoate. To best our knowledge, last four compounds have never before been natural product...

Several bicyclic compounds bearing a 1,2-cyclopentanediol have been prepared from various anti- or syn-gamma-bromopropargylic diols and cis-dioxolanes under palladium(0) catalysis. The reaction proceeds through 5-exo-dig cyclocarbopalladation. When the corresponding trans-dioxolanes are used, only products isolated obtained direct Stille cross-coupling reaction. Oyster leaf (Mertensia maritima), also called vegetarian oyster, has a surprising oyster-like aroma. Its volatile composition was investigated here for the first time. In total, 109 compounds were identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and quantified GC-FID. The use of GC-olfactometry on both polar nonpolar columns allowed detection molecules having an oyster-like, marine odor. Four confirmed synthesis: (Z)-3-nonenal, (Z)-1,5-octadien-3-ol, (Z,Z)-3,6-nonadienal,...
