특정 질병을 치료하는 약물을 다른 질병에 사용하려는 다양한 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 그 중 텍스트 마이닝은 많은 비정형 데이터로부터, 약물과 질병 간의 새로운 관계를 도출한다. 본 논문에서는 문헌 데이터의 초록 문장으로부터 질병의 동시 발생과, 유전자의 발생 횟수를 이용하여 약물-질병 매트릭스와 약물-유전자 매트릭스를 생성한다. 이를 각각의 약물 쌍에 대하여, 상호정보량을 사용하여 기반 유사도와 유전자 유사도를 계산한다. 또한 각 대하여 화학적, 부작용, GO 각각 쌍의 분류 클래스 레이블은 두 구성 약물의 ATC 코드에 따라 ‘동일’, ‘상이’를 부여한다. 쌍을 분류함에 있어서, 상호정보량 유사도의 추가가 분류기의 AUC를 향상시키며, 마이닝이 유사 식별하는 것에 도움을 줄 수 있다는 것을 입증하였다. 식별은 향후 재창출 방법의 하나로 활용될

신약 재창출은 현재 사용되는 약물의 새로운 용도를 발견하는 방법이다. 텍스트 마이닝은 정형화되지 않은 문서로부터 의미 있는 지식을 획득하는 과정을 의미한다. 본 논문에서는 약물-유전자와 유전자-질병에서 동시에 측정된 유전자 출현 빈도의 비율을 고려하여 약물-질병 관계를 추론하는 방법을 제안한다. 생물학적 문헌으로부터 유전자-질병의 동시출현 빈도를 측정하고 각 약물과 질병에 대하여 유전자의 계산한다. 관계의 가중치는 비율의 평균을 이용하여 계산되고 이를 질병의 분류 정확도를 측정한다. 것에서 문장 단위로 여러 고려하는 방법이 기존 방법보다 더 정확히 식별해내는 것을 보였다.

질병 관련 유전자를 식별하는 것은 메커니즘을 이해하고 환자를 치료하는 데 필수적이다. 생물학적 실험은 시간과 비용이 많이 들기 때문에 텍스트 마이닝을 사용하는 연구의 수가 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 GloVe기반으로 새로운 예측하는 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 단어 임베딩 기반의 연관유전자 추론 방법들은 임베딩의 특성을 고려하지 않았기 실험을 재현하기 매우 어렵다. 하지만 제안된 방법은 반복 통하여 일정한 결과에 수렴하기 실험 재현이 가능하며 기존 방법보다 정확하다. 마지막으로, 방법에 따라 예측되지 않은 유전자 중 질병과 관련성이 높은 예측할 수 있으며 계속해서 업데이트 되는 유전자-질병 연관을 관계를 발견할
