Wastewater treatment is currently focused on the development of simple, safe, cost-effective technologies for complete destruction persistent organic pollutants. A novel reagent-free electro-Fenton process by integrated nano-bubble aeration and sacrificial iron anode proposed, which improves mass transferability large content dissolved oxygen (10.55mgL-1) in electrolyte then quickly transported to electrode surface. The synergistic effect nanobubble anodes can product a highly efficient...

Abstract Electrochemistry education of future researchers is crucial if we are to decarbonise economies and reach targets for net zero, this arguably begins with in electrochemistry within undergraduate degrees. This paper reviews the teaching UK universities at degree level. We review where how electrochemical concepts introduced into chemistry, chemical engineering materials science programmes. provide some motivation review, which was stimulated by discussions from a workshop on ‘Future...

To effectively utilize near-infrared light in the solar spectrum, expanding spectral response range of photocatalysts is one main issues at present. Herein, a novel 0D/2D Bi2WO6:Yb3+, Tm3+/Bi12O17Cl2 S-scheme heterostructure with full successfully synthesized through hydrothermal method. The optimized (1:1) photocatalyst degraded 68.2% and 59.1% methylene blue (MB) Rhodamine B (RhB) 980 nm NIR irradiation for 240 min, degradation MB RhB was 96.1% 92.3% under visible 40 respectively. enhanced...

In this work, a magnetic mesoporous molybdenum disulfide/graphite nanosheets (mm-MoS 2 /GN) was successfully synthesized and applied to solid phase extraction (MSPE) of 13 Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) from edible oil samples. The prepared mm-MoS /GN certified by characteristic analyses including FT-IR, XRD, VSM, BET, SEM TEM. influence various parameters in MSPE investigated, the adsorbent mass, adsorption/desorption time, elution solvent using response surface methodology. porous...
