Two lysimeter experiments with maize plants were conducted to investigate the effect of combined superabsorbent polymer (SAP) and fulvic acid (FA) application on photosynthetic gas exchange water use efficiency (WUE) under deficit irrigation conditions. Soil SAP (45 kg hm-2 ) was applied while sowing, FA solution (2 g L-1 sprayed onto crop canopy three times at later plant growth periods.Combining significantly improved photosynthesis, chlorophyll contents instantaneous WUE maintaining...
Approximately 180 t/km2 of Asian dust particles are estimated to fall annually on Beijing, China, and there is significant concern about the influence microbes transported by events human health downwind ecosystems. In this study, we collected in analyzed bacterial communities these culture-independent methods. Bacterial cells were visualized first laser scanning microscopy, which demonstrated that carry Beijing. abundance, as determined quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR), was 108...
Abstract The effect of cover crop (CC) on soil water balance and agricultural production is closely related to rainfall amount distribution in rainfed cropping systems. This study used the root zone quality model, RZWQM2, calibrated validated with 4‐yr field measurements predict planting a winter wheat ( Triticum aestivum L.) CC no‐till corn Zea mays L.)–soybean Glycine max rotation balance, yield, grain water‐use efficiency (WUE) northeast Mississippi. Seasonal for 80 consecutive years...
Fulvic acid (FA) and superabsorbent polymer (SAP) are widely applied to improve crop growth yield under water deficit conditions, but little is known about the changes in physiological parameters related tolerance when SAP FA combined. A pot test with maize (Zea mays L.) plants was conducted examine combined effect on photosynthesis, leaf water, proline, soil deficit. Maize were subjected two moisture conditions at late phase: (WD, 50% field capacity) well-watered (WW, 80% capacity). The...
The atmospheric movement of arid soil can play an important role in the microorganisms attached to microparticles. Bacterial community structures Asian dust collected at Beijing were investigated using 16S rRNA gene sequence and compared those soil, a possible source dust. samples contained 2.5×107 3.5×109 copies gram-1. Therefore, more than 1013 bacterial cells (km)-2 per month estimated arrive via Terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis revealed that differed greatly...
The bacterial community structure in four geographically isolated arid regions on the Loess plateau, China, a source of Asian dust, was investigated using 16S rRNA gene. Denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis and sequencing demonstrated that diversity plateau low, common Alphaproteobacteria phylotype identified. Phylogenetic analyses soils revealed most phylotypes had low similarity with known strains various phyla, suggesting these contain phylogenetically divergent unknown bacteria.
Chinese Iris (Iris lactea Pall. var. chinensis (Fisch.) Koidz.) is a monocotyledonous halophyte, which considered an important salt-tolerant species. In this study, the plant growth, ion absorption and transportation leaf secretion characteristics of under sodium chloride (NaCl) stress were investigated using nutrient solutions with four NaCl concentrations ranging from 0 to 300 mmol L−1. The main results indicated that Na+ accounted for 5.7–11.5% distribution pattern 90% ions accumulated in...
In this study, we synthesised metakaolin-based mesoporous geopolymer adsorbent and investigated the effect of alkaline activator modulus (molar ratios SiO2/Na2O) on Pb2+ adsorption. The prepared using 1.2 M performs excellent removal with a maximum adsorption capacity 172.71 mg g−1. pseudo-second-order model fit kinetics satisfactorily, indicating that process is dominated by chemical data appropriately Langmuir isotherm model. contributions methods corresponding to total quantity adsorbed...
The correlation of carbon isotope discrimination (△13C) with photosynthetic gas exchange and water use efficiency (WUE) in maize was investigated under low rainfall conditions or without superabsorbent polymer (SAP). SAP (45 kg/ha) mixed into the top 10 cm soil layer at sowing lysimeters. Compared control plants not treated SAP, application increased net photosynthesis rate; stomatal conductance (gs); transpiration chlorophyll content (Chl) intrinsic leaf level (WUEi), but decreased...
Abstract To further investigate the performance of glycol/diesel dual-fuel engine, we conducted a simulation test by varying injection advance angle diesel engine. Thus, investigated effect different angles on Simulation tests were to study effects ethylene engine when mixing ratio was 15% and 14.6°, 16.6°, 18.6° 20.6°, respectively. The research shows that fuel increases in-cylinder temperature pressure both increase compared with original CO emissions decrease 6.9%, NO 4.3%, soot 11%....
