Liquid–liquid two-phase flow patterns in a serpentine glass microchannel have been studied using camera with very high shutter speed. The phase system is equilibrated water−succinic acid−n-butanol system. Observed classified into seven different types: slug flow, and droplet unstable annular dispersed fully flow. Two ways of introducing the aqueous organic phases studied. Flow regime maps are presented discussed. Voronoi diagrams also presented.
A full-field hard X-ray imaging beamline (BL-4) was designed, developed, installed and commissioned recently at the Indus-2 synchrotron radiation source RRCAT, Indore, India. The bending-magnet is operated in monochromatic white beam mode. variety of techniques are implemented such as high-resolution radiography, propagation- analyzer-based phase contrast imaging, real-time absorption tomography etc. First experiments on propagation-based micro-tomography reported.
