Abstract In present work structural properties and aging of thermoplastic starches prepared by plasticization cornstarch with urea, glycerol their mixtures are studied using solid‐state 1 H NMR 13 C spectroscopy WAXS measurements. Broad line spectra reveal phase separation plasticizers during the samples same or higher relative amount than urea. Glycerol in TPS induces motion starch chain segments, mobility which depends on glycerol. At scale nm, formation B‐type crystallites containing also...

Crumb rubber (CR) can be used for binder modification or aggregate replacement in asphalt mixtures road construction, when it is usually referred to as CR modifier (CRM). CRM elastic properties depend on the quality of parent material and storage conditions final material. They deteriorate time due degradation processes among other things they influence swelling capacity during preparation. The presented paper demonstrates sensitivity basic nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) parameters (proton...

ABSTRACT MAS 13 C‐NMR measurements were used for the study of morphology and molecular mobility in amorphous quenched triacetine‐plasticized PLA samples which underwent cold crystallization during annealing at 80 100 °C. The single pulse spectra indicate that plasticizer promotes results decrease temperature formation more perfect crystalline domains. T 1 ( C) spin‐lattice relaxation times show presence molecules leads to an increase local chains but plasticized after °C shows rigid...

Abstract The structurally unique clay–intercalable (9,10‐dihydroxyoctadecyl)trimethylammonium (OH‐ODTMA) cationic surfactant was synthesized in two steps from commercially available oleylamine. Sodium montmorillonite modified by a cation‐exchange reaction using three different octadecyltrimethylamonium ODTMA‐based organic cations. Basal spacings, configuration, the interlamellar structure, and thermal stability of resulting organomontmorillonites were characterized X‐ray diffraction, IR...

Single-pulse 13C NMR spectra and spin-lattice relaxation times T1(1H), detected indirectly via carbons, T1(13C) were measured at 31°C for virgin pelletized annealed polylactic acid (PLA) samples using the magic-angle spinning technique. The structural resulting in more regular crystals with narrower conformation distribution increase lamellae thickness crystallinity brought about by annealing 100°C was deduced from narrowing of lines proton T1(1H). related to respective carbons α-polymorph...
