Large language models like chat generative pre-trained transformer (ChatGPT) have found success in various sectors, but their application the medical field remains limited. This study aimed to assess feasibility of using ChatGPT provide accurate information patients, specifically evaluating how well versions 3.5 and 4 aligned with 2012 North American Spine Society (NASS) guidelines for lumbar disk herniation radiculopathy.
Zebrafish (Danio rerio) are widely used in neuroscience research, where their utility as a model organism is rapidly expanding. Low cost, ease of experimental manipulations, and sufficient behavioral complexity make zebrafish valuable tool for high-throughput studies biomedicine. To complement the available repositories genetic information, there growing need collection neurobehavioral neurological phenotypes. For this, we establishing Neurophenome Database (ZND;...
The American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) was established in 1946. Since then, important advances have been made diagnosis and treatment conditions affecting upper extremity. However, there has little documentation regarding how largest oldest society dedicated to hand surgery evolved over time. Furthermore, an understanding history ASSH specialty should be emphasized resident fellow education. authors aim provide a historical overview through speeches past presidents that sheds...
We present a case of an adolescent patient with multiple mandibular fractures diagnosed by point-of-care ultrasound in the pediatric emergency department. Sonographic findings consistent fracture were identified our patient, and early consultation expedited interdepartmental coordination disposition. The role identifying various traumatic orthopedic maxillofacial injuries is discussed.
Study Design: Retrospective cohort. Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect overdistraction on interbody cage subsidence. Background: Vertebral due use large intervertebral sizes may increase risk postoperative Methods: Patients who underwent anterior cervical discectomy and fusion between 2016 2021 were included. All measurements performed using lateral radiographs at 3 time points – preoperative, immediate postoperative, final follow-up >6 months postoperatively....
A 17-year-old boy with a history of chronic bilateral navicular osteonecrosis fragmentation was treated 6-month staged open reduction and internal fixation tarsal debridement the necrotic bone ipsilateral medial femoral condyle vascularized grafting. The patient progressed to full painless weight-bearing on each extremity by 4 months postoperatively osseous union both fracture sites incorporation grafts. Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) scores were improved...

Animal social defeat stress is a strong modulator of anxiety and depression‐like states. Although grooming frequent behavioral marker stress, little known about the effects on grooming. This study explores chronic mouse self‐grooming behavior. After exposing mice to 13–15 days defeat, behavior was measured in both winner loser novelty test. The occurrence transitions between paw, head, body, tail genital regions recorded. In mice, increased latency grooming, produced fewer correct...
A retrospective database study of patients at an urban academic medical center undergoing Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF) surgery between 2008 2019.ACDF is one the most common spinal procedures. Old age has been found to be a risk factor for postoperative complications across plethora spine Little known about how this changes among elderly cohorts such as difference (60+) octogenarian (80+) patients. This seeks analyze disparate rates following elective ACDF aged 60-69 or...
Though widely used to characterize animal cognitive phenotypes and their modulation, habituation have not been extensively investigated in zebrafish (Danio rerio). Utilizing the novel tank test, we examined intra‐ intersession demonstrated robust responses zebrafish. Intrasession analysis determined that selected anxiogenic drugs (caffeine, pentylenetetrazol), as well stress‐inducing alarm pheromone, attenuated habituation, while acute anxiolytic agents, morphine ethanol, had no effect on...
