Nowadays, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have become the preferred, and sometimes only support tool when facing critical scenarios such as earthquakes, search rescue missions, border surveillance. In these scenarios, deploying a UAV swarm instead of single can provide additional benefits when, for example, cargo carrying requirements exceed lifting power UAV, or deployment several UAVs simultaneously accelerate accomplishment mission, broaden covered area. To this aim, in paper we present...

Air pollution monitoring has become an essential requirement for cities worldwide. Currently, the most extended way to monitor air is via fixed stations, which are expensive and hard install. To solve this problem, we have developed EcoSensor, a solution through mobile sensors. It deployed with off-the-shelf hardware such as Waspmote (based on Arduino platform), low-end sensors, Raspberry Pi devices.

As the number of potential applications for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) keeps rising steadily, chances that these devices get close to each other during their flights also increases, causing concerns regarding collisions. This paper proposed Mission Based Collision Avoidance Protocol (MBCAP), a novel UAV collision avoidance protocol applicable all types multicopters flying autonomously. It relies on wireless communications in order detect nearby UAVs, and negotiate procedure avoid any...

Mobile sensing is becoming the best option to monitor our environment due its ease of use, high flexibility, and low price. In this paper, we present a mobile architecture able different pollutants using low-end sensors. Although proposed solution can be deployed everywhere, it becomes especially meaningful in crowded cities where pollution values are often high, being great concern both population authorities. Our composed three modules: sensor for monitoring pollutants, an Android-based...

Noise pollution is an emerging and challenging problem of all large metropolitan areas, affecting the health citizens in multiple ways. Therefore, obtaining a detailed real-time map noise cities becomes utmost importance for authorities to take preventive measures. Until now, these measurements were limited occasional sampling made by specialized companies, that mainly focus on major roads. In this paper, we propose alternative approach based crowdsensing. Our proposed architecture empowers...

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are being widely used as a valuable tool in critical situations, especially when the access to target area is difficult or hazardous. In these swarm of UAVs can provide additional benefits by covering larger areas, thereby speeding up fulfillment mission, carrying heavier loads that single UAV would not support. this paper we present MUSCOP, protocol allows set properly synchronize their flight planned missions.
