We study a conformally coupled scalar-tensor theory with quartic potential possessing local conformal symmetry up to boundary term. show that requiring the restoration of full fixes counterterms render on-shell action finite. The building block resulting is covariant tensor which constructed out metric and scalar field it has same weight as Weyl tensor. This allows us obtain for sector in closed form. finiteness complete version suggestive on validity renormalization prescription. extend...

In this thesis, we investigate the method of conformal renormalization applied to theories with degrees freedom beyond metric ones. Specifically, examine in presence a scalar field. To do this, as part review, revisit action principle General Relativity and Einstein's equations, addition re-examining conditions for theory have well-defined variational when Dirichlet boundary are imposed. We then explore various methods calculating conserved charges asymptotically flat spaces. anti-de Sitter...
