Rather than using noble gas, room air is used as the working gas for an atmospheric pressure room-temperature plasma. The plasma driven by submicrosecond pulsed directed current voltages. Several spikes appear periodically each voltage pulse. first spike has a peak value of more 1.5 A with pulse width about 10 ns. Emission spectra show that besides excited OH, O, N2(C–B), and N2+(B–X) emission, NO, N2(B–A), H, even N emission are also observed in plasma, which indicates may be reactive...

The “plasma bullet” behavior of atmospheric pressure plasma plumes has recently attracted significant interest. In this paper, a specially designed jet device is used to study phenomenon. It found that helium primary can propagate through the wall dielectric tube and keep propagating inside (secondary plasma). High-speed photographs show disappears before secondary starts propagate. Both at hypersonic speed. Detailed studies on dynamics local electric field induced by charges surface plays...

It has recently been demonstrated that pulsed direct-current (dc) voltages show better performance in generating diffuse plasmas under various conditions. However, it still remains unclear whether the pulsewidth or rising and falling times of voltage pulse play essential role improvement dielectric barrier discharges (DBDs). In this paper, we focus on effect pulsewidth. Pulsed dc with varying from 0.2 mus to about 1 ms are used drive DBDs. High-speed photographs Ar can be generated by...

The fundamental of the generation and propagation atmospheric pressure nonequilibrium plasma jets has recently attracted significant interests. In this paper, investigations on effects parameters pulsed dc voltages optical emission intensity jet bullet behavior are carried out based temporal-spatial resolved spectroscopy measurements high-speed photography. It is found that, with increase in applied voltage, propagates from nozzle earlier accelerates to higher peak-velocities. pulse...

Small water soluble CdS nanocrystals (NCs) with excellent colloidal stability were prepared by femtosecond laser ablation of a bulk target without using any surfactant. NCs different sizes ranging from 2.0 to 8.6 nm can be produced simply adjusting the fluence at low values, which are just above threshold. The obtained show relatively narrow size distribution, gradually narrows as decreases, seen in transmission electronic microscopic images. UV-vis optical absorption, photoluminescence, and...

We report here a template method for the fabrication of nanochannels with water-dissolvable NaNH4Mo3O10·H2O nanowires as sacrificial material. By using these nanowires, which have diameters ranging from 20 to 150 nm and lengths up hundred microns, we demonstrated that it is possible obtain desired shape cross section, types channel material, such metals oxides. This technique shows good potential development various microfluidic nanofluidic devices.

Water-soluble CdS nanoparticles (NPs) with excellent colloidal stability were produced by femtosecond laser ablation at high fluence. The transmission electron microscope image of the obtained NPs exhibited a presence two populations, characterized low and size dispersions, different mean particle sizes. A comprehensive optical spectroscopy study was carried out, results indicated close correlation between distribution properties luminescence characteristics. By analyzing photoluminescence...

Plasma plumes have found a wide range of applications over the recent decade, stimulating studies characteristics plasma generated under different conditions. Regardless whether they propagate within dielectric tube or shielding gases, behavior these will be affected by boundary condition plume. Yet, at present, little is known about polarities, especially negative plumes, when propagating To bridge this gap, in paper, positive and quartz tube, ambient Ar, air are studied. The results reveal...
