Nasal drug delivery is a fascinating approach to bypass the blood-brain barrier, which instead directly transports molecules brain from nasal cavity along olfactory and trigeminal nerves. However, feasibility of nose-to-brain transportation intact nanoparticles possible corresponding pathways remain poorly understood. The purpose present study explore intranasal fate curcumin (Cur)-loaded polycaprolactone (PCL NPs) via fluorescent bioimaging strategies. behavior was tracked by...

Seven new triterpene saponins, clematochinenosides A−G (1−7), together with 17 known saponins (8−24), were isolated from the roots and rhizomes of Clematis chinensis. Their structures elucidated on basis spectroscopic evidence hydrolysis products. Compounds 1, 3−7, 20−24 showed inhibitory activities against COX-1 COX-2 enzymes.

l-Methionine is the only sulfur-containing amino acid among essential acids, and it mainly produced by chemical method in industry so far. The fermentation production of l-methionine genetically engineered strains an attractive alternative. Due to complex metabolic mechanism multilevel regulation synthesis pathway organism, was still not satisfied. In this study, biosynthesis regulated based on previous studies. As competitive for cell growth, l-lysine first repaired complementation lysA...

"How old are angiosperms" is a frequently asked but still unanswered question. Although the underlying reason includes lack of consensus on criterion for fossil angiosperms, limited finds, and other factors, final answer to question apparently lies in fossils, not wrangling among different schools. The currently mainstream idea palaeobotany that angiosperms cannot have existed earlier than Early Cretaceous. This 64-year-old stereotype was recently iterated again 2017. However, another...

This study investigated the role of magnoflorine (MAG) on cartilage protection in osteoarthritis. In vitro studies showed that MAG decreased expression inflammatory factors and inhibited extracellular matrix degradation lipopolysaccharide- ATP-stimulated C28/I2 cells. Importantly, reduced levels pyroptosis-related proteins, including NLRP3, ASC, cleaved-caspase 1, GSDMD-N, IL-18, IL-1β. Mechanistically, mtROS production activation NF-κB signaling pathway. vivo demonstrated sodium...

Proteins accumulated in dry, stratified Arabidopsis seeds or young seedlings, totaled 1100 to 1300 depending on the time of sampling, were analyzed by using immobilized pH gradient 2-DE gel electrophoresis. The molecular identities 437 polypeptides, encoded 355 independent genes, determined MALDI-TOF TOF-TOF mass spectrometry. In sum, 293 present at all stages and 95 during radicle protrusion while another 18 appeared later stages. Further analysis showed that 226 identified polypeptides...

The midgut is the major organ for food digestion, nutrient absorption and also a barrier foreign substance. 5th-instar larval stage of silkworm very important growth, development, silk production. In present study, we used 2-DE matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS) to analyze proteins from larvae as well under starvation condition. A total 96 were identified in this study; among them, 69 observed first time. We found that responded by...
