Real-time atomic force microscopy observation was carried out during crystallization in thin films of chiral poly(R-3-hydroxybutyrate-co-R-3-hydroxyhexanoate) copolymer, and the development details single lamellae banded spherulites are revealed for first time. The exhibit complicated growth behaviors: twisting, bending, backward growth, branching. continuously twist to show alternating edge-on flat-on views along radii spherulites. Giant screw dislocations bring forth birth new lamellae....
Abstract Most protostars have luminosities that are fainter than expected from steady accretion over the protostellar lifetime. The solution to this problem may lie in episodic mass accretion—prolonged periods of very low punctuated by short bursts rapid accretion. However, timescale and amplitude for variability at phase is almost entirely unconstrained. In A James Clerk Maxwell Telescope/SCUBA-2 Transient Survey Protostars Nearby Star-forming Regions, we monitoring monthly with SCUBA-2...
Massive star-forming regions with observed infall motions are good sites for studying the birth of massive stars. In this paper, 405 compact sources have been extracted from APEX Telescope Large Area Survey Galaxy (ATLASGAL) that also in Millimetre Astronomy Legacy Team 90 GHz (MALT90) survey during Years 1 and 2. These observations complemented Spitzer GLIMPSE/MIPSGAL mid-IR data to help classify elected clumps into three evolutionary stages: pre-stellar, proto-stellar UCHII regions. The...

Combined results of He et al., obtained a sample 732 clumps, including 231 massive candidates 501 where is not detected. Objects in our were classified as pre-stellar, proto-stellar, H ii or photodissociation region (PDR). The detection rates PDR stages are 41.2 per cent, 36.6 30.6 cent 12.7 respectively. have...
We aim to directly determine the kinetic temperature and spatial density with formaldehyde for $\sim$100 brightest ATLASGAL-selected clumps at 870 $\mu$m representing various evolutionary stages of high-mass star formation. Ten transitions ($J$ = 3-2 4-3) ortho- para-H$_2$CO near 211, 218, 225, 291 GHz were observed APEX 12 m telescope. Using non-LTE models RADEX, we derive gas using measured p-H$_2$CO 3$_{21}$-2$_{20}$/3$_{03}$-2$_{02}$, 4$_{22}$-3$_{21}$/4$_{04}$-3$_{03}$,...
Abstract Prestellar cores are self-gravitating dense and cold structures within molecular clouds where future stars born. They expected, at the stage of transitioning to protostellar phase, harbor centrally concentrated (sub)structures that will seed formation a new star or binary/multiple stellar systems. Characterizing this critical evolution is key our understanding formation. In work, we report detection high-density on thousand-astronomical-unit (au) scale in sample prestellar cores....
