To improve the poor locating performance of DV-Hop algorithm in calculating distance unknown nodes to beacon nodes, we present an improved DV-HOP localization on basis analyzing error nodes' estimated distances and actual distances. This paper mainly focuses two respects: Firstly, average one-hop was modified. Secondly, considering several one-hop, used by each node modified weighting received from nodes. The simulation results show that proposed can estimate accurately increase location precision.

Coverage control is a basic research problem in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). This paper proposes distance optimization based coverage algorithm, which utilizes ant colony algorithm to place nodes an appropriate position and optimize the moving path of mobile nodes.
