The Borsuka Cave is located in the southern part of Krakow-Czestochowa Up- land, about 20 km west Krakow. During excavations conducted 2008-2010 a very rare and interesting faunal assemblage from layer VI was found, dating to Upper Pleniglacial. Among cold steppe-tundra or taiga species such as Rangifer tarandus, Vulpes alopex, Equus sp. Coelodonta antiquitatis taxa adapted forest environment were also found. Associated with them we found snails, Ena montana, Aegopi- nella pura Perforatella...

Two taxa of the Late Carboniferous and four species Early Permian terrestrial snails have been found in Paleozoic continental molasse sediments Upper Silesian-Cracow Upland (Southern Poland). Discovery Anthracopupa ohioensis Protodiscus priscus indicates that, besides North America, they occurred also European part Pangea supercontinent. According to general sedimentary facies context accompanying floral faunal assemblages, gastropods lived swamp environments, including a topogenous fen.

Hawaiia minuscula (A. Binney), yet another non-native snail, was found in Poland, a greenhouse of the Jagiellonian University Botanic Garden Kraków. Its accompanying terrestrial malacofauna is also presented.

Early Pleistocene sediments bearing gastropod shells and pollen flora were found during coring at Jawornik (South Poland) a depth interval of 54.30–39.00 m, beneath the oldest till Carpathians. Thirteen land-snail taxa identified in 55 samples core formed two molluscan assemblages. In bottom part, typical cold-loving snails (e.g. Vallonia tenuilabris , Pupilla loessica Vertigo genesii Columella columella ), whereas upper part only Semilimax kotulae was present. The succession assemblages may...
