A non-thermal gliding arc discharge was generated at atmospheric pressure in an air flow. The dynamics of the plasma column and tracer particles were recorded using two synchronized high-speed cameras. Whereas data analysis for such systems has previously been performed 2D (analyzing single camera image), we provide here a 3D that includes reconstructions particle tracking velocimetry based on discrete tomography methods. analysis, particular, determination slip velocity between gas flow,...

Abstract It is possible to obtain pollen germination and tube growth in vitro if boric acid present. In this work the effect was studied using as a semiquantitative parameter mean length (l̄) of Lilium longiflorum tubes. Pollen examinated dependence on acid, ortho-silicic nucleic bases, Ca 2+ Zn 10% sucrose solution. The maximum l̄ obtained for concentrations between 2-20 ppm boron. simultaneous supply silicon added water glass leads synergistic stimulation facilitates branching. action...

Abstract Boron and silicon have a dramatic influence on the expression of symptoms caused by plant virus infections. For tobacco plants, boron decreases enhances symptom after belladonna mottle infection. Infected leaf tissues are highly enriched both trace elements. supply stimulates accumulation. In applied concentrations elements no phytotoxic effects host. Except endogeneous β-interferones, this could be first example antiviral action without any cytotoxicity.

An optimal supply of biodisposable silicon and boron shows a synergistic stimulation effect on plant growth. Under these growth conditions herbicides may become particularly toxic for cultural plants. Plants inhibited by show distinctly higher contents than that untreated samples.
