Abstract Experiments of pressure effects on gas holdup and bubble size in slurry columns at 5.6 MPa velocities up to 45 cm/s indicate that the increases with an increase pressure, especially high concentration. At ambient a higher solids concentration significantly lowers over entire gas‐velocity range, while MPa, effect is relatively small above 25 cm/s. An empirical correlation was developed based these data those literature predict wide range operating conditions. analysis flow...

The direct synthesis of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) from CO2 and CH3 OH was achieved at room temperature with 74 % conversion in the presence an imidazolium hydrogen ionic liquid ([Cn Cm Im][HCO3 ]). Experimental theoretical results reveal that [Cn ] can transform quickly into a adduct, which serves as effective catalyst dehydrant. Its dehydration ability is reversible. energy barrier rate-determining step for DMC only 21.7 kcal mol-1 . be reused easily without significant loss its catalytic...

Abstract We report herein a gold and palladium sequential catalysis system to access furan‐fused nine‐membered heterocycles in high efficiency enantioselectivity. In this one‐pot procedure, easily accessible enynamides undergo cyclization generate azadienes situ that participate enantioselective formal [5+4] cycloaddition with vinyl ethylene carbonates. Conformation‐controlled highly diastereoselective derivatizations of these medium‐sized rings, coupled oxidative furan cleavage, have...
